with skinner in goal i think we are looking at a loss with LA and Minn. If Pickard in net with Colorado, we have a chance although slim. I don't see how the oilers beat Win or LA in the playoffs with these goalies. Thank the jackson/bowman massacre team. I'm sick of watching the oilers lose. Watching the exciting Montreal Canadians and some great goalies instead. Fire bowman/jackson, get holloway back, get a real goalie and get the stanley cup.

Jeff Skinner's play hasn't been great but it hasn't been terrible either. Maybe he's not liked in the dressing room by the rest of the players.

Not happy at all about the Jeff Skinner situation. I think it is poor player management by the coach and ultimately a signing that has cost us a big time.
Skinner is being set up to fail IMO. It's just like Sam Bennett in Calgary, they stuck him on the fourth line and he failed, so they trade him for peanuts and he flourishes in Florida. You've got to set you players up for success, and the right setting for Skinner is not a fourth line checking combination. He needs to skate and score. He needs to be top 2 lines to succeed or it will never work. I'm sure he'd be happy to get out of here and go to a team that will provide him with the right setting.

If they can find a suitor for Skinner they should trade him now. Get the extra cap space and if he goes and lights it up with someone else then so be it. We have help in the minors and also can look for a depth forward also
Too bad Knobber doesn't have the time of day for Jeff Skinner. He gets few minutes and no PP time, sat out games, and very few shifts with 97 or 29; yet he is still 7th in forwards for points, tied for 5th in goals. The problem is his defensive play. If he changed his name to Bouchard, perhaps Knobber would give him all the sweet minutes? If the Oilers really intend to trade him, they should put him with McDavid a bunch of games (especially against weaker competition) and ramp up his trade value. Teams will not give you good assets for players that you have in the pressbox!
