By the time they figure something out, they're out of the playoff picture and it will be rinse and repeat (like the past three years). Penguins Steelers, same mentality! These teams are institutionalized with what they have know for the past 20 yrs. While the league has surpassed them by leaps and bounds!
Dubas put a D core together that most goaltenders would demand a trade from . Think Brodeur or Hasek would have NOTHIG to say about letting Oloeksiak look lile Booby Orr ?? Jarry HAS stunk , but not nearly as bad as the construction-deployment job done …

Here's the other thing that i dont hear a lot of people saying. While they ARE outshooting some of these teams most of these shots are creampuff perimeter volleys to the goalie. Then the d fense plays catch for a second before running out of options and giving it up to the other team
It's a combination of pathetic defense, no physical presence, and soft goaltending. The Sens showed how the Pens have no answer when you consistently check them and get under their skin.
Ill tell you something else. Listen to Jarrys post game comments, and how he did not take one iota of self ownership in that loss
It really helped to trade for an $11.5 million pylon when you need defense! That’s like hiring an arsonist to be the fire chief!
I have watched a bunch of the post game interviews, read a bunch of the articles…..enough is enough. The excuses, was have to look at ourselves in the mirror…..blah blah blah. That first goal was weak, and it happens every night especially with Jarry in net, he is awful and deflates the team. Someone told these guys that shooting 17, 40mph muffins from the point on a unscreened goalie says you owned the game, or the blind dump ins to no one is a good play. Letang was falling down and turning pucks over when he was overhandling it, Malkin with the big quote kast night, his line 5 on 5 isn;'t producing. I even have some harsh critisism for Sid, he needs to get angry, he needs to freak out and demand more from the guys. But last night Sully says "I don't know what to do." Now don't look at this last streak of losses, look at the last three years, look at the powerplay last season. He admits he can't get them to play the right way, or pay attention to the details, to play good sound team defense. But he even continued to roll all four line in the last five minutes down a goal…..seriously! Is O'Connor getting you a big goal, is Bellievre, even Glass. How about throwing Hayes with Malkin and Bunting and rotate two lines only? But roll all four? Sully won't make any massive moves till this team is almost out for sure, the delisusional foof still thinks this team still believes. This team, this management, this coach have wrecked my every other night. I just want to see decent hockey played, I don't expect a cup, I am realistic. I haven't missed much for games since Centre Ice came out, but it is clear management doesn't care, and as a fan resentment and some hate have crept in. I am a 40 year fan, and really wonder how much more I can watch.

This game was absolutely Jarrys fault! That last goal was embarrassed we all know Fleury would have stopped that cross crease pass!!
The Pens are depressing me more than the Steelers I think. For what felt like my whole life, no matter what the Steelers and Pirates did, the Pens would make the playoffs and at least have a look at going on a run.
Love Pettersons game but for four years I have wished he would cram the protein and pump some iron.
Love these daily shots! So my question is this… I get that goaltending is a problem and Sullivan answered they need to "commit to playing defense" but I think what keeps going unanswered is WHY does this keep happening? Why do they, like clockwork, seem to just unplug from the game? It's not just one or two players, the team collectively just seems to check out.
Tomlin has his 'system' or 'ways'. So does Sullivan. So do Nutting and Cherington. That's the common denominator here. Complacency. ❤️🔥🍻

Not sure what the love affair with Jarry is but it needs to end. He has 8 wins at the mid point. Terrible for a beer league goalie let alone a starter. He's got dirt on someone high up is what I'm thinking.
blowing leads is all they can consistently do. Watching the Kraken last night, I kinda miss Bylsma. Yeah he choked in the playoffs but that man knew how make a roster and line change when needed.

Jarry needs to go!!! Over and over and over he SUCKS! This is the definition of insanity and it’s a seriously frustrating reality. Shake it up! Make changes time is running out to be relevant.
Sid's line, while they have been the sole line scoring, they have also been responsible for far more goals. They have been absolutely awful as a defensive forward unit and were subtly called out by Sullivan last night. How is it possible a player with 48 points in 46 games can be a -17? Defense just isn't the defenders. It's a team game and those guys seem to only want to play in one end.

After 2 periods, the pens had more shots on goal than the kraken had shot attempts.
You can dominate until your blue line the face but as long as Jarry is your goalie your domination is nothing more than a futile effort.
I was actually a little anxious that Jarry would be starting in net when I go to the Kings/Pens game on Monday… Don't have to worry about that anymore 😂🤘🤘

Pens = Steelers = Predictable failure. Also, Pens are not good with shot placement and just seem to shoot anyway and hope for a lucky bounce.
They waived Jarry, so that is something; however, this team is still not good enough to compete. It is just not. PERIOD
