Still feeling awful and still waiting on eye surgery so personal comments will be limited.
The Oilers need to take a course in telling time because they don't start until the 2nd period it seems. Again with a 3-0 deficit after one period (and 2 of those on the PP so the PK was not good (neither was Vancouver's so it's okay as they gave up 1 on 2 tries (the Oilers gave up 2 on 4 tries)).
The stripes were the biggest pediments to the game this game. My thoughts on that will just counteract the blood pressure medication I take so I'm not going to dwell other than to say whoever is in charge needs to give those boys a follow up course in calling things because they epic failed. Reminding them that hauling down a player and holding them there then tackling them again when they get up and doing it again is something you call before things get out of hand. Spoiler Alert: It got out of hand. Suspensions are incoming (and Connor will be getting one of them barring intervention)
Leon got 2 goals (1 PP). I know he would have preferred the 2 points because if we had gotten that (or even 1 Bettman point) we would have taken sole lead in the division as both Vegas and LA lost. On the plus side they didn't gain ground or take over the lead. On the minus side we didn't take the lead or add to the gap (for LA). This was a complete waste of an opportunity.
From the stats: Oilers were outshot (15 to 27), outhit (9 to 18), beat in the circle (22 to 30), took more penalties (2 to 4 but in minutes 19 to 23), had more giveaways, more takeaways, and more blocked shots. Other than taking penalties in the first period and not showing up and being down by 3 AGAIN, why am I even saying OTHER here.
I'm coughing so much right now I think I've increased the stock price of Scotties by $2 a share on my own so I'm going to pack it in and look for a nice warm anything and just be there.
Take care all.
