McDavid 100% deserves the same as Myers. But, and let me know if there is a reason it wasn't, I feel like Garland, and maybe even McDavid as well, should have had minor penalties whistled down be all that shit happened. Why did they not whistle it down for the penalty? Is it because Oilers were in the offensive zone so it was a delayed penalty on Garland?
Good effort but they were playing an Oiler's team that was tired. Canucks still have a LONG way to go. They aren't even in a playoff position.
I don't Myers should get a suspension, he stood his ground while Bouchard was advancing on him.
Oilers fan here, dumb play by mcdavid and myers I’d expect a lot better from mcdavid. But what was the ref doing, should have called a penalty on garland. Garland made a smart play but it should have been a penalty, he would have expected it too.
Instead of cross checking to the face, a decent glove handed punch would have the same man stopping power without subsequent injury.
Maybe old time hockey had its merits.

McDickcheese has Main Character Syndrome. There have been so many dirty plays he's done as of late and nothing. Elbow to the face, spear to the throat and crosscheck to the head, all suspendable offences but every time, nothing happens.
That being said, both Garland and McDickcheese should have gotten hold penalties. You just can't hold the opponent down like that lmfao. As for Myers, suspend his ass.

Was McDavid not literally laying on Garland for 5 second? Watch it. A bit longer than Garland was doing that to him. Last 10 seconds of game is always nuts. No penalty was the right call.

Wish you showed Bouchard holding Pettersson behind the Oilers net 30 seconds before the whole Garland/McDavid thing. If they called the holding on Bouchard, the Oilers would have been on the penalty kill for the remainder of the game. Refs were trying real hard to get the Oilers back in it, don't buy whatever it is their fans are trying to say. Also, McDavid not only got away with that spear to Hronek's throat, but he also tripped Soucy with a clear stick in the skates earlier in the game and no call. He gets away with so much it's disgusting.
Let's look at this in comparison to the hit that Conner made the other day. The other day Conner got a penalty for clipping a player the referees saw it right away. But apparently after 14 seconds of obstruction which should have been a holding penalty against Garland . McDavid gets a crosscheck and game . Who else do we think should get a fine . Are the referees not apparently considered a bit responsible for the actions. If there are fines to be paid OK I agree including the referees as well. I only hope that there has been a lesson toward the lousy refereeing that is happening throughout the league. Oh ya, it isn't just this game , there have been many to count and don't get me started. Anyways, that's how I feel about the league, anybody feel the same ?

You missed the whole fact that mf Garland pulled mcDavid down first, and held him there with his leg before mcDavid did anything. He just wanted to play the game, not have a wrestling match. lol. Great thing is Oilers will keep moving up whole Nucks keep moving down. Peace out.
Sorry to be a negative Nancy, but this win was concerning. They were up 3-0 and just let up on the gas and let the Oilers dictate the other 2 periods. What's really concerning is no one on this team has any offense, other than Hughes. Our secondary and primary scoring is almost non-existent now. It's easy for the other teams to target just 1 player.
That no call on the spear to the throat was crazy. Almost as bad as when he got away with the double minor high stick on Quinn.
That game got a quite ugly towards the end, but my goodness did the Canucks need that win. Whether they will get a win of their next game remains TBD, with their last win streak having featured relative respective November and December OT ones over the Sabres and Red Wings in consecutive away games.
This was the wake up call for the canucks now we take the league 🎉

i love Hronek's perfect dish pass to Draisaitl for Oil's first goal …
it didn't show it that well in highlites (big surprise…being edited by tools who obviously don't fully understand the game) but Hronek's composure was non existent … realize he's rusty, but this goes for ALL our D (except of course Captain Hughes, who doesn't need this explained to him)
To constantly watch Myers, Soucy, Deharnias, Forbort, and sometimes Hronek…just panic and throw the puck right back to the other team instead of having NHL level composure with the puck….LITERALLY makes me want to take a break from watching this team..
..it is simply too painful to watch….no wonder the forwards are bone dry, they NEVER get the puck passed to them unless Hughes is on the ice….fire the Defensive coaches, get new D…DO SOMETHING FOR CHRISTS SAKE

The difference between them is Mcdavids was at a player looking elsewhere still focused on the game. Myers did it to a player gliding(albeit slowly) directly at him while they were staring each other down. Mcdavids was predatory, Myers was defensive.
