Isn't EK a minus 13? He's too unpredictable on defense and he isn't doing enough offensively to make up for it
You can sugarcoat it anyway you want. This guy is/was not worth $11 1/2 million, sorry! It was a stupid trade then it’s a stupid trade now. Dubas disguised the fact that he got rid of all these dead contracts but I will never believe that there was no other way that he could’ve gotten rid of them.
DK, I’ve been listening to the penguins daily shot for about a year and a half. This is my first J1Q question… What the heck does J1Q stand for!?
One good game for the Pens and one bad game for the Kings and the team is miraculous changed to a winner. Of course all they had to do was get rid of Jarry. What ever you need to tell yourself that you’re right. Wait a couple games and the team we have been watching looks like they have for the past few years. It is a team problem, including the coach.
Great show, DK! Thanks for the breakdown on EK #65, from what and when the international coach said what he did about EK, to the team record, and his stats. It's a fantastic perspective on where EK is in the game now. So, I'm still a fan of the trade for him for a couple of reasons: 1, Petry, and Grunland did not work out here at all!!! And those salaries equaled EK so fine by me! 2. He came in a year removed from the Norris, was put 2nd line, 2nd PP when we desperately NEEDED him 1st PP, and he had to learn a new defenseman with him……not an easy welcoming. Finally, the last 20 games or so, Petterson and EK are playing well together and look at how he came alive, right!? So, the Swedish kept those two together and theh won the tournament in the offseason. What does Sully do to open this year? Break them up!?!?!?! 🤬😡🤬 who does that!? I believe we'll still get another level EK yet to come. Whether it's this year or next, it will be very interesting to see where Dubas spends the extra $$ coming off the books seasons end……
DK, I love your Karlsson point. He’s not lighting the world on fire, but I think this is the most solid he’s been as a penguin. I feel like his play is indicative of the whole blue line. They’ve all been more involved in the play and have made a major impact over the last week or so. I know he’s hot/cold sometimes, but I could not be more impressed with how Grzelyk is playing, especially when he’s on the point on the PP. He and Pickering have been too pleasant surprises this year.
The EK haters drive me absolutely insane. Even at his worst he's far from the Pens biggest problems.
3:06. Um…….2 goals and 19 assists for 27 points?
i just can't see this team making the playoffs…just no consistency…they just stink sometimes against teams that they just be beating easily…also too many good teams fighting for 2 wildcard spots . . I would say Bruins and Rangers will make it. Pens are just in no mans land…hopefully Dubas makes some good trades this year and there is some hope for Crosby's final two years of his contract to make the playoffs.
He doesn't come close to ear ing that hugh money he gets think of what we could have for that money, until we rebuild were gonna be like steelers stuck in mediocrity
the problem coming up is, whatever momentum they get going or whatever kinks they work on will be put on a massive pause and stagnate during the 4 Nations tournament.
They come back from that and it'll be like opening day of the season all over again. That tournament mid season is just stupid imo.
Thank you DK, It just goes to show how easy it is, to over look an important part of team work. Erik Karlsson is that part that matters. I look forward to the next game DK. It's getting very interesting. Great show DK
