I'm not sure they are sold on the goalie tandem and I think they will make a move. John Gibson or Connor Ingram type would be a possibility to play with Skinner. I agree, they need a true top 4 dman. Klingberg might surprise, but insurance baby. I hope they don't continue to let the future slip away. Dylan Holloway, Mike Kesselring, Broberg etc..
Would it consider Savoie a A+ prospect. Stop looking at draft position, and before he went for 10points in 4 games in the AHL his numbers were average at best
One trade proposal a fan made on Puck Pedia that I actually think would be unreal was Seattle trade Oleksiak and Gourde with 50% retention to Edmonton for Kulak, Skinner, a 2027 1st rounder a 2028 2nd rounder, and a 2027 4th round pick to Buffalo to retain another 25% on Gourde. Losing Kulak would suck but Oleksiak is that big mean defenseman Edmonton needs and Gourde is that bottom-six center that you need for a deep run in the postseason, and you have him for only 25%.

I believe Pierre lebrun mentioned oilers looking at a depth d that is more shutdown and a fwd that has some sandpaper and can play all 3 positions in the bottom 6.
What about colton scisson right shot center gritty pesty that can play all 3 fwd positions , wins faceoff solid defensively and can kill penalty. Right shot – 2 yrs remaining at 2.85 mil per season .

Honestly I am excited for John Kilngberg, I think he’s going to exceed expectations. In his interview he said he’s finally playing without pain for the first time in YEARS, like 5+ years or something. If that’s the case then he could be even better than he was in previous seasons.
If they dont look at goaltending that is dereliction of duty. The goalie stats are baaaad considering the Oilers are an elite team in defense metrics
Theres many defense out there; Xhekaj and Rasmus Andersson (more easier to get) or Matheson and Parayko if they were willing to give up more like Savoie and or Bouchard. They need at least 2 of those 4 I think to stand a chance defensively. With Jake Evans and Klim Kostin for depth and a third goalie too.
Daniel Sprong, hes got crazy good numbers for minimal ice time.

If Klingberg works out, Bouchard needs to go, Bouchard is a huge liability on defence and will most likely cost us games during the playoff run.
Jason Dickson would be a great addition. Would give up a first round draft pick for him. I don't see the Oilers making a ton of trades this year but here's hoping for at least one significant move.
