So much ignorance on this segment. Penguins have Gryz, Petts, OConnor, Beau, Shea, and Nieto as UFAs. That takes 30 secs to research. Petts has trouble at the point of attack, so he gets beat due to lacking strength and acceleration. Can't play in Sullivan's system if you can't move the puck. Frank also thinks NYR has one of the best blue lines in the league.
If it were possible with cap space, Matheson/Xhekaj and Andersson would be ideal or if they had to use Bouchard to get Parayko maybe? Then a fighter or 2(Pospisil and McCaron) just incase the refs put their whistles away like they usually do in Playoffs and the McDavid mugging happens again… Also getting Kostin back would be nice.

I'm with Liam with his take on Dumoulin. He could be a quiet acquisition, that could make a significant impact. Nice age/experience point in his career, that he would be reliable, without much fuss.
All acquisitions are risky, but, I like Dumoulin as well, for the same reasons as Liam. 🍻
