I’m more a football guy than hockey guy. But flames fan and adore this podcast. Rhett’s point about the Bills issues being coaching, is 100000000% correct. Coaches keep the players from losing the game. The stupid 2 point attempts and the HORRENDOUS clock management to end the game lost the game. Regardless of the other issues. McDipshit should be canned.

Rhett, being close and losing fucking sucks. I became an aware sports fan in 1988 when the Flames had their crew of hall of famers. The first football game I remember was the Superbowl when Joe Montana saw John Candy and led the Niners down the field against the Bengals, their 3rd Super Bowl, January 22, 1989. The Flames win the Cup in Montreal 2 days after my 8th birthday. The next year the Niners win again. I was in Toronto when the Jays won the first time and then in 1995 i was 13 when they beat Pinders Charger (sorry bud). 1 cup, 2 world series and 3 super bowls before i turn 14. Since then, nothing.
Last year as the 49ers were making mistake after mistake and the few mistakes the Chiefs made they couldn't take advantage, it was such a winnable game but the Combo of Reid, Spags and Mahomes means you have to be close to perfect. The one against Baltimore when they didn't run Gore was probably the most frustrating one, other than 2004 which even 20 years that ending makes that super crazy unexpected run bittersweet.
