  1. '22 team- Landeskog, Kadri, Burakovsky, Helm, EJ, JJ, and Byram. Any chance we could get a couple of those guys back?

  2. Traded top 10-15 player for a way less proven-top 30ish guy.Granted he's younger,& cheaper. Drury will help but not much.2nd rounder is important but 4th rounder in the NGlHL has less than 1% chance of ever playing 1 NHL game. We are definitely a worse team today than yesterday. Now that could change if u take the cap space,& use your picks to make another quasi significant deal before the deadline. Cap space only helps if u actually use it. If we don't do anything else of signifigance-i wouldn't be surprised if the AVS don't miss the playoffs entirely. Especially with Nichuskin out now for God knows how long? I'll keep hope alive,& confidence in the organization that they'll do something else,& actually use this cap space. Then it could make sense but if they do nothing else-there are telling us they aren't trying to compete for a Cup this year-so we will see.

  3. I hate this trade. They gave up the best winger in the game for Necas and spare parts. Necas has only 1 more year on his contract. I guess this was a compromise to stay competitive instead of just trading Mikko away for futures. WTF and what if Necas walks next year. Then what you get Drury and a 2nd, oh and a 4th. That's sh!@. Jack isn't Chris he's a bottom 6 player. I can't believe this was the best they could do for a player like Rantanen, and if it was then why not wait and see. Maybe something else comes around before the deadline.

  4. No loyalty to our star players what a stupid move to trade Rantanen. They had plenty of other trade options. Mittlestadt, Colton, Wood, Just to name a few but you don't trade part of your core

  5. Mikko should have stayed in my own biases opinion, Martin and Jack did play well against Boston, but Mikko is a truly talented, possibly a future hall of fame player. It now the result of where the Avs are going to be in the next months or next couple of seasons, but the GM career is practically on the line because of this trade, if it’s good then the Avs made a big move in this trade, if it’s a complete blowout where the Avs either don’t make the playoffs or get swept in the first round, then this trade will go down as one of the worst trades in Avs history

  6. He is not better than mackinnon and should not get more than him. He knew there was a risk of this but didn’t seem interested either .

  7. JaredBednar- greatest coach in the NHL a players coach going by this interview he did not want it to happen. Sounds like it was upper management that overruled him sad day for the AVS.

  8. I still can't believe this is real…this move makes absolutely no sense whatsoever..

  9. So we traded a depth winger for a goaltender, then turned around and traded mikko for depth?! Someone make me feel better about this……

  10. Avs fans are feeling that same hurt us Flames fans felt in '22. Always loved Colorado and truly believe Cale, Mikko and Nate was the greatest core in the league. Hurts a ton but really excited to see what Necas and Mac can do once they start to mesh with each other.

Look at it this way, if y'all resigned Mikko, there is a non zero chance Cale could've come home to Calgary. But he belongs in an Avs jersey and I think that this will eventually work out for the best

  11. I don’t understand why everyone is so down with this trade. Yes, Mikko is a fantastic player, but the Avs as a whole have been sputtering. When is the last time they strung a memorable run of wins? Maybe this is the shot in the arm they needed.

  12. And when this coach and the Avs dont win the Stanley Cup, it will be his fault.
Not the fact they traded away part if their success core

  13. I saw this happening, with Mikko has the same agent as Draisaitl. He got Draisaitl $14 million a year for 8 years. Mikko overpriced himself out of the Avs. Mikko wasnt worth $14 million a year. Without MacKinnon and Makar, Mikko will struggle. If it comes down to re-signing Mikko or losing Makar in a few years to free agency. Makar needs to stay. Unfortunately Carolina got a rental player, they wont be able to resign Mikko.

  14. I have a feeling, Mikko is not gonna stay with the Canes.
If they win the cup this year, sure they sign him.
    If not then he's out.

  15. Does anyone think they’re doing this to make cap space for the return of the captain from IR? 🤔

  16. Jared is hurt. He's really hurt! All the body language, voice, eyes, staring the floor…

  17. It's hard to feel bad for people making millions per year but I still can feel his pain

  18. I don't see how the Avs came out on top with this trade. Are they betting on Landsskog coming back. Even if he comes backis he a top liner.
