Concerning because the main reason they get sent home every year, is because they can’t score goals in tight checking playoff games, however the comments are over dramatic for a loss to the Wild in January. If they go into Edmonton and kick their asses on Saturday night, everybody will be right back on board

Don't let the Leafs position in the standings fool you. This team is not bad but they are not "good". Not good enough to contend for the Stanley Cup anyways, let alone win it. Goaltending is fine, defense can do with a bit more work, but the major issue is with the core four. This team lives and dies depending on how the core four perform and it's way too inconsistent to be a powerhouse in this league. Nothing against them individually because I love all those players but the combination doesn't work as a Stanley Cup contending team. The only thing that hasn't changed throughout all these seasons of lost hope is the core four + Rielly and Shanahan. I can't say who gets to stay and who has to go but I hope they get broken up and bring in players that can bring balance and heart to this team.

This road trip is going to be very interesting. Could be out of a playoff spot after it. Don't see them winning any of the games except Seattle and after the break, it's not looking good schedule wise.

First few comments by Matthews are terrible. If Marner said what Matthews said he would have been vilified in the media. Matthews needs to be held more accountable.
1. Split up Marner and Matthews… Put Marner on a line with players he has no confidence can score so he's forced to shoot more
2. New team rule. If the team gets less than 35 shots on goal in a loss, then you bagskate them hard for 5 minutes plus 1 minute for every shot below the 35 threshold – so if they lose with only 20 SOG – they get bagskated for 20 minutes the next day. Dare I say it, I don't think you'll ever see them not shoot on an outnumbered rush again.

O zone: too much perimeter shooting, get in there, create havoc. D zone: team defense is a Swiss 🧀 cheese, keep it a tight, don’t collapse and break out faster. Other teams do it, why not the Leafs. Things are Leafy again. GLG!
Low event style has killed their offense. Plus, they get nothing from the bottom six and the D can't score, that's why they're not winning games. When you only score 3 goals in 3 games you're finished. Split up 34 & 16, they aren't doing enough to stay together and should be driving their own lines along with 88. Spread out these players and try to get some others going, cause what they're are doing now isn't working.

Can Anyone in Leaf Nation please make sense on why Matthews and Marner are still playing together?? Willy plays with anyone and had more quality chances than both those guys combined. I’m so sick of seeing these two in the same line. When Matthews was out, Marner was arguably the best player in the league. So anyone please make sense of this. Come on Chief, wake up!!!!!
44 is just not playing well to many mistakes it’s been like this for a month , I think it’s time to trade him make a package deal and get another centre and defence

Who wants to hear this shit? Loud atmosphere in Ottawa with leaf fans, made no difference. It's not about a quiet, overpriced arena that needs more seats. You can easily win the fans over by not sleeping in the first period and then lulling the crowd to sleep in the second.

We literally were turning it over like crazy the last minute of the game holy….Minnesota forechecked us good and kept us to the outside and we couldn't get set up or generate anything……a 10 point lead is now gone and now Florida is back up, our offense has dried right up this is NOT good, idk if we need the break or what cause evaporating a 10 point lead in the division is inexcusable and why is Holmberg out there trying to tie the game in the last 1:30?
