Goal Pettersson 1st assist Pettersson 2nd assist Pettersson
We are done. Rutherford and Allvin are worse than Gillis or Benning.
They got rid of the attitude and the contract.
what makes Marcus Pettersson so good? is he really 6'5" and only 174 lbs? I think Vancouver clearly lost this trade.
He weighs less than 176 pounds, wtf are we doing
heinen has taken a few bad penalties this season and desharnais is dogshit… but giving up a 1st for a winger swap and getting rid of desharnais for pettersson??? are there more conditions on that pick?
So now we have Petey, D-Petey, and Three-Petey. Nice! 😂
Only two more Peteys and we can go full Petey in some sort of unstoppable Swedish Voltron line!
This Trade Makes Sense………..if the Canucks which they were actually contending for cup , which they are not this year, I could understand blowing a 1st last year , but this year ain't it
The fact that nobody can agree whether the trades were good or not probably means they were fair. I don't hate it.
1st round picks are bullets to use for actual players with term , not rentals unless it's clear that a team can win , 1st rounders dwindle fast
I love this for Pittsburgh heinen will slot right in 3rd to 1st line he’s already done that for Pittsburgh and they get a 1st round pick. Could care less about any of the other pieces PO Joseph replaces Petterson but looks like a win win to me. Pens need to get assets

Hard worker power forward fast plays hard. Yins will love him.
If they can get dylan cozens now for futures then were a better team. 1c petey 2c cozens 3c chytil
I’m if meyers keeps playing well we have a really good Top 4 defence
The success of this series of trades, from the GM perspective, hinges on their ability to extend Marcus Petterson.
Canucks got rid of two anchors which is great.
Fernstrom may be a sleeper in this trade.
The 3 Petey age begins!
I know JT is a big loss BUT
We got a LEGIT top 4 D
We got a younger cheaper C back
We got a younger cheaper winger
We got a bigger, younger, Right handed D prospect that doesn't need waivers
We got cap space
We got off 2 underperforming players
We got out of a situation that went from the room, to the ice, to the press
We've got a chance to give this a re-start with MAYBE enough runway to sneak in the post season
I'll definitely miss having petey and doc in Pittsburgh, but this is a pretty nice return.
This is a garbage trade give your head a shake
There were previous talks about trading Miller to Ptts for Petterson and OConnor anyways so basically we got rid of two players for Mancini and Chytil
Honestly Canucks needed to shake things up. We've been bad this season
If there is already an extension agreed on, this will be win. If not, complete L.
The big upside here is that now when they blame Pettersson for being the problem they have a larger chance of being right.
Miller trade was good for both sides considering Vancouver backed themselves into a corner, but immediately flipping that 1st for Marcus could really blow up in their faces. Time will tell.
Let the rebuild begin!! See ya in 7 years…. or whenever Vancouver can make the playoffs again 😂
They got younger with them, Petterson being the oldest at 28 then Chytil is only 25 and if he can stay healthy could be good 2C Connor 26 has shown good play as a middle 6 but also with Crosby and Malkin at times, Mancini is only 22 but a RHD so will be playing with D Petey in Abby but maybe even get a few games in this season and will see what it takes to resign Petterson but the First Rd pick might have been used for a better top4 but over all decent return should be interesting to see if they try trading Boeser or resign him by the deadline
There obsessed with the pettersons
Pretty soon the whole team is gonna be named Pettersson. The Vancouver Petterssons or the Vancouver Swedes. Take your pick.
That my friend is a great trade actually.
Both teams got what they needed from this deal. The pens stock assets and prospects, the Canucks get better on defenseman and a solid bottom 6 forward
Dubas, in 1.5 years, has beefed up the Pens draft (2-1st round picks in 2025 AND most likey top 10 picks) also the farm system which goaltender wise is amongst the best with a number of guys knocking on the door at NHL ready. So, this trade Pitt loses Pettersson, ok I get it but he'll receive 6 million per year next year after a new contract, right? The O'Connor piece well, his best year he played 25 games with Crosby so Pens didn't lose much. The Pens receive the 1st, Heinen (better than O'Connor) a big tough defenseman who will play better in Pitt without all the drama of Van, and a prospect who may take 4-5 years still which is totally fine because Pens have a few guys ready now. I believe Pens won!
When it concerns the NHL roster, for this trade alone, for this year, Vancouver just got way better. While Heinen is a better finisher than DOC, DOC won’t be nearly as invisible as I remember Heinen being in his previous stint in Pittsburgh. There were times in Pittsburgh when I literally forgot Heinen was on the team. As for MPetterson, he’s worlds better than VD. I think Dubas said it best after the trade regarding both Peterson and O’Conner, “Marcus and Drew have competed day-in and day-out for the organization since the day they arrived. Both players are high-quality people, highly competitive players and zero maintenance for their fellow teammates…”
Marcus to elias to elias and goal lol
