Canucks definitely won the trade, relieved themselves of Deharnais and get Pettersson who down the road will prove to be a player that will serve as a Captain now that they lost Miller. As I said before Miller was the one player of 2… the other Hronek I liked on Canucks Miller should have been Captain, He was a leader and a GREAT teammate.

This trade isn’t the best for Pittsburgh because you traded O’Conner and Pettersson (one of are better Defensive Players) for nothing. The only Value is the 1st round pick, That’s my Opinion

I'm not the captain so I don't have to stay on this Is sinking ship.
The last time the Canucks had 2 1st round picks that they actually used, they were (drumroll please) Jared McCann (as I believe Shannon mentioned) AND Hunter Shinkaruk. Yeah. I think I'll pass on that. Having high draft picks is really important, but the last time the Canucks had more than 1 first, it didn't work out so well.
Someone needs to tell Vancouver that 3peat stands for three Stanley Cups in a row and not three guys with the nickname Pettey… I think they may be confused going for a 3peat here.
Canucks are allergic to first round picks
So essentially the Canucks trade a world-class and irreplaceable centre for a bunch of bottom of the roster plugs and no draft picks. Here’s to hoping they do something with the cap space otherwise this is a disaster piled on top of what was already a disaster.
