There are many troubling aspects of the Kings' play right now (and the refs have not helped) but it is frustrating to see Kings' players missing the net on their shots so frequently. Darryl Evans called this out on the post game wrap also. There have been so many times the Kings get into a good shooting position and fail to get a shot on net. This massively undermines the opportunity for a "greasy goal".
Drew picked up right where he left off with a nice -2 game! 2 more seasons at $11 million per…just trade any assets they can for picks and restart the now 11 year rebuild again since they're going in the wrong direction with this one and until Crapitar and Doughboy are gone it's not going to matter! Also, fire Flake and Hiller while they're at it!
Why would anyone be surprised if Flake traded Clarke, he's slowing but surely getting rid of all of his draft picks as none of them have turned out as they were billed, IE Bustfield, except maybe Valardi, but he was already shipped out after having his best season and continues to be an asset to his new team and is now having the best season of his career! What a shrewd GM that Rob Flake is! 🙄
Those giving Moore such a hard time need to have patience. He was clearly not right physically early and still may not be 100%. Now he is struggling mentally to get his game back. He'll pull through it, just needs some time to work it out.
Game recap… and a bit more: The Kings were victim of Bad luck and Bad Referring. Before our 1st match with the Panthers, I said in a comment that they were the ONLY team that I’ve seen this season, game in and game out, to skate at the level of the Kings at their best. I’d say we were at 85%. Yes I agree that Lewis wat tripped and the goal should have been allowed. I jumped out of my seat when I saw an open net, only to have 2 Kings fighting (and blocking each other) to put it in. Quick Note: Even though the King in back was upright and had a better look… the player in front, should have the first crack at it. That’s just basics. Even if he’s sprawled on the ice. Man… so many other bad calls and non-calls. Q.B. gets clipped mid ice – no call – same play goes on, and a King gets called for a penalty and it’s 5 on 3. GIVE ME A FKG BREAK!!! Look, it happens in every major sport. We have to deal with it. First the good news – SO HAPPY TO SEE #8 BACK!!! His reverse play decision in the 1st period lead to a FL goal. I stand by it. Looking at the replay, there was a FL defenseman at the point with a clear shot had Doughty played the puck forward. Final points: About 2 weeks ago Eddie brough up the point – Is it time to push the Panic Button…? We all agreed… Not Yet. I’m pushing it now. THE WINNER OF EVERY HOCKEY GAME IS THE ONE THAT SCORES THE MOST GOALS. If you can’t score, you’re not a winner. That’s why I’ve been praying for a “Sniper” after the 1st month of the season. ARE YOU LISTENING BLAKE? Why were we not in the mix to acquire Mikko Rantanen?

The lack of scoring for most of the year is concerning. Defense wont win games without scoring. Add that to refs sucking and you cant win. Two games in a row with a 5 on 3 pp.
They need to stop thinking loosing 2-1 or 1-0 was great game because they played excellent defense. They gotta have the defense join in every entry and play like down by 1 with 5 minutes left THE ENTIRE GAME ! Shit if they loose 6-5 it’s better then 1-0 ! And they may win ! F CK DEFENSE! THE BEST DEFENSE IS OFFENCE ! It’s harder for the opposition to score when they’re in their own end !
Defense looses in today’s nhl ! ESPECIALLY IF THE PLAN IS TO GO OUT AND PLAY DEFENSE! YOU GOTTA GO OUT AND PLAY HOCKEY ! Which includes OFFENCE !

Wondering about the forwards and lack of scoring pop.
Have not followed the team as closely of late..is Danault second or third line center? He seems a natural third line center because he is a good defensive presence and good on face offs. But if scoring is anemic..he is a liability. You want those guys who can score more readily on the second line…especially feeds well off the top line..sort of deadens things to give second line minutes to a light scoring center. Seems you would want Byfield and Fiala on the second line. Solid third and fourth line defensive physical forwards really gives your top two lines more. And then you get the bottom six chipping in with a few goals..
