The problem with Norris, Senators way overpaid him, and they know it. Norris is being paid approximately $8 million/year but playing like a $3 million dollar player.

Ottawa would be making a mistake trading Norris for Boeser, Boeser is smaller, slower, and has less goals(this year). Why would Ottawa downgrade when they are playing great hockey? If anything the rumor should be Hughes going to Ottawa, not Norris to Vancouver. Vancouver is a hot mess and I can't see Hughes resigning there. Vancouver might as well get something for him before he walks.

Couple things. Norris still has the shoulder history. Maybe getting out of that contract is worth while. But I think the bigger thing is I think the Sens need someone a bit nastier in the lineup. That Hartman situation last night should have been handled but they don’t really have anyone like that. I’m not saying a goon but more someone like a Chara type guy who is just intimidating.
