Unserious list by Weekes. Boston and Montreal have only ever made 3 trades with eachother, and none since 2001. They're not going to trade their captain and face of their franchise to the Habs. Not to mention Toronto becoming their biggest rival over the past decade of bad Montreal hockey, Marchand will never wear the Maple Leaf under Boston's terms.

Marchand to Habs makes zero sense, even without the historic rivalry. The Habs aren't in a position for a rental and are still in the development phase, I doubt they'd want to give up futures or prospects to a divisional rival for an aging player.
