As a Canucks fan, the Wild were decent, and the Canucks were god awful. Markstrom, Pettersson, Hughes, and Ferland looked like the only guys who were even trying. I fer this could be a short series.
Ferland and Pearson gave away some stupid penalties out of frustration as the Canucks offence was continually broken down early in plays. They had that one stretch in the second period when they looked like scoring but the Wild deserved the win.
Must be kinda nice for the guys not having a lot of fans cheering so it's easier to hear each other, but at the same time, no one to rally the team when they need it either
Stalock is my favorite player in the league but I watched him get destroyed 6-0 to the jets at the Xcel energy center live, right in front of me. He got pulled with 6 mins left
This feels like a lifetime ago. Covid-19 pandemic was still new, bubble hockey, Parise and Suter still on the Wild, Stalock in net, old crowd chant goal song, etc. Lots of Wild fans wanted to lose the qualifier to have a shot at Lafrenière. Lots can change in 2 years.
