Skinner is not consistent, but his ceiling is higher. Pickard is consistent but good goaltending. Goaltending has plagued oilers, It's hard to win a cup if your goalie doesn't steal 1 each series (BOB did steal game 1 in cup final and that was the difference) or you are just too good of a team. With defense lagging, Goalie needs to be strong or defense just needs to be too good.
