Trade wars has nothing to do with hockey players.
I agree with John that they do need some size and grit but god help us if Stanley is a regular in the playoffs and plays a ‘big role’ the only role he will be playing will be fishing the puck out of the back of the net. He’s just not capable of playing a effective smart defensively responsible physical style!.
Hey Andrew, good show. It's shocking to see how many good players have left the Bombers even before free agency officially starts. Are the Bombers that strapped for available cap cash? We know that Collarus is making $600K and has one year left on his contract which really hampers keeping other players. But one has to wonder if the Bombers can repeat their dominance in the west in 2025. And what happens when Collarus gets injured (not if, but when, given what happened in 2023 and 2024). Have not heard that Winnipeg is really looking at the backup QB seriously – and as a potential successor to Zach. That is a major concern. Because "Hammer" said it – it doesn't matter how good the rest of the players are – the QB position has to be consistently solid for a team to be a contender. On the plus side, really glad they got Jarious Jackson. The guy really did well as interim coach in Edmonton last year- players liked him, creative plays and some close games. Jeff is right -O'Sh wants him to mentor Jason Hogan who I believe will struggle as the new OC. Looking forward to see how that tandem will work. Looking forward to your next show.
