I dislike most super bowl halftime performers, but the biggest issue was they had a guy "rapping" that none of us could understand what he was saying. Leafs have the best chance to win on a long time. They need to go all in and go get a Nelson and mayfield , or a ROR and Schenn , cozensbryam, Schenn /Leddy, … if it means getting rid of Minten or cowan or both . To get one of those pairings I’m giving Minten and cowan away . A good 2 or 3C, and a top 4 dman will immensely make this team better.
Hayes makes no sense . I get it you want to draft players etc , but when your in a situation like the leafs are in you have to be all in . Getting rid of Cowan or Minten isn’t gong to put this team way behind . We don’t even know how good they will be , I can’t see Minten being better then a 4C maybe 3C at best . Cowan has a bit more upside but after watching the Junior’s and his size maybe he’s just a bottom 6 guy
Paciorerty hasn’t fell off a cliff he’s still playing body , the two weeks off will help him. Domi on the other hand let’s just hope he can produce in playoffs and put this bad season in the past and play good down the stretch after 4 nations.
All in for who? Brayden Schenn? Brock Nelson? Even with these 3rd line centers I dont trust them to score goals in the playoffs. I think NO, cut Marner or Tavares loose in the off season and use the cap money to re-tool then go all in next season

Laughton is not worth Cowan or Minten EVER not in any world. No better than a second round. Max Domi just plain doesn't fit he's horrible and it was a horrible contract given to him he needs to go. Robertson is not working out in any way shape or form.

With the emergence of McMann and Knies as effective power forwards, they should have the pieces for a sold top 9 with what they have. Knies-Matthews-Domi, Nylander-Tavares-Pacioretty, McMann-Marner-Robertson, Reaves-Kampf-Lorentz. Rielly-OEL, McCabe-Tanev, Ristolainen-Benoit/Myers.
This would be a matchup nightmare for other teams.
If you try Marner at C and don't like it, move him to the wing on the same line and trade Robertson. Bring up Minten, or trade for a 3rd line C.
I look forward to Leafs making no trades in the next month. Go with what you got. 2 years ago they traded 1/3 of their team.
TheLeafs will not come close to winning a Cup with Mathews and Marner in their line-up, over the past 8+ years it has been proven they are not playoff players. They are great seasonal players which is for show and trophies, but,the playoffs are an increasing difficult , hard , punishing run to the toughest trophy in all sports to win. Is a blockbuster trade necessary? Who knows, but something big needs to be done.
I have seen the Leafs win 4 Cups and honesty if they were not one of the original six teams, with one of the most loyal fan bases ever, they would have been sold years ago. The Leafs should start every game by thanking the fans for their support.
