1. Can't blame 11 for isles struggles. But injuries or not you can blame 11 for not playing up to his $ 4 mil. per deal. That's why 11 has played for nearly a quarter of nhl teams. Can't stay healthy, too inconsistent to put up big numbers. Only three more years at 4×3 for 11 to go louzer. And one sorry so called expert says isles are in on kraken's mccann. Maybe at $5 mil. per 44 could be exchanged for mccann with isles getting more offensive upside with = value $$$'s. And a top prospect in isles system means mid tier prospect at best. And lennox never got a chance as skarek/appleby wasted ahl space in the crease.

  2. Varlamov has probably played his last game. He reportedly needs surgery that comes with a full year of recovery. Buyout or retirement appears to be his future which makes Hogberg an important re-sign. We won't know about Gidlof for at the very least the next four to six years.

  3. Gil the guy (Duclair) has been on 8 or 9 teams in 8 years, something like that, to be honest he stinks, he does not belong in the NHL, we ( Islanders) have enough players who stink, I want to thank Lou for this old, slow and unskilled roster, keep up the good work Lou maybe the owners will give YOU a 7 year contract should last you until your 97th birthday, with an option year. Lou you are a JOKE

  4. They look nice, but I will always choose Graf 703 top light over any other manufacturer. The old school CCM 952 Kevlar Super Tacks is my 2nd choice

  5. At least he's giving it his all while injured its very clear he's not 100% but he never is I've seen him healthy one year

  6. Not sure 🤔 if Duke is a top 6 player. Aside from that we must trade Dobson! I don’t want Pett…. Preferably the Preds 1 st round pick n a player or Kyrou. Nelson should be traded regardless! He can sign back if he wants on July 1! Palms has to be traded! I like the Zeeks, JGP, Holmstrom line! I would keep JGP! The Islanders could really help themselves buy getting a top 5 1 st round draft pick with a Dobson trade! Lou had better think about the future instead of a now ! Just to what Lou? 1 round and out! This could be the most critical trade deadline to set our future! Someone had better be a voice of reason in Lou’s Ear. Please 🙏

  7. Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? Anthony DuClair's not the reason that the Islanders were off to that ugly start, IT'S A COMMUNITY EFFORT. It's not his fault that he got injured up until then. He was adjusting to the Islanders and life on LI. It was Patrick Roy, who coached in QJHL, who wanted him. He's a productive player and who has great speed, but then he got hurt. The Islanders have 1 goalie prospect named Marcus Gitlof from Sweden at 6'6 200 lbs. The kid sounds promising, and if the Islanders are smart, THEY WON'T RUSH HIM. The reason the Islanders didn't have anyone on this list last year is because Lou Lamoriello traded off all the prospects. Team 🇺🇸 got off tova good start by beating Team 🇫🇮 3-1. As exciting as this tournament is, there are injuries. It's important that Brock Nelson stays healthy. HAPPY 🎂, VICTOR KOSSLOV. Another Islanders/Panther connection. He scored a 4 goal 🌙 in a 7-4 win against those dreaded Rangers at the Garden. BEAUTIFUL. Hear from you later, Gil. I'm going to ⌚️ an emaciation that happened before ❤ day. On the 🌙 Trots ate the Flyers alive. I can't help it. Every time I get nostalgic, it involves Trots. I've liked and admired him ever since he was a rookie, and he was the 3 C's CALM, COOL, AND COLLECTED. Now. LET'S GO ISLANDERS.

  8. Not big on the Duke. He has played on 8 teams in 11 season. I never thought it was a big offseason signing.

  9. Good morning team! Gil, interesting subject today. My opinions on the subject.. We all thought the Duke would replace Lee on the top line while Lee was having his struggles. The fact of the matter is, an actor is only as good as their supporting cast. We know the team has been plagued with crazy injuries this year. We really can't say we've had stability on any of our lines. I like Duke. I thought then, and I still do now, believe he is going to be a good addition to the team. All that being said, Duke has to be a good supporting cast member for the other players on his line, as well. I guess all the shuffling Roy is doing is to find the right line combinations with the best chemistry. I think when Barzy, Bo, and Duke are all healthy, that will be the top line he can put on the ice. Great episode, Sir. USA beatdown on Finland in Four Nations!
Everyone, have a great day and wonderful weekend! Looking forward to seeing you all again Monday. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!

  10. Man I hope ur right about Duclair. Because right I believe he's a liability out there. He's absolutely dreadful on the fore check. His puck control has lacked sufficiency. Doesn't surprise me he's a -6. I'm my opinion his defense is little to non existent. And my biggest pet peve with him is when he goes to the front of the net he literally stands inside the crease every time. He cost Brock nelson a goal cause of interference. And I dont think that's his strength anyway. Get outta there and let Lee or Maxim go to the net and stay on the outside and pass or shoot. He is not a physical player in the least and doesn't belong down there. I hope he can turn his game around and get going. Cause I do want the best for the guy!

  11. We certainly could use more production from Duke. Lets hope he finds his game back. Quite a dominate performance by Team USA last night! Can't wait for Saturday night USA vs Canada. Think we have a very good chance with Hellebuyck between the pipes. Have a great weekend Gil. LGI & Team USA

  12. if he's in the lineup we have to assume he's healthy. he had two months to recover…more. so if he's not to blame , i don't know who is. barzal came back after his extended injury and WAS immediately productive. pelech as well. romanov as well in his role…sorry Duke. time to put up or shut up

  13. Can’t blame him. He was injured before he got started. And he probably still has lingering effects of what looked like a pretty serious groin injury. Depth and scoring are this team’s problem. Duclair is a minor issue.

  14. Hey Gil. What’s your opinion on this 4 Nations tournament? Personally I can’t stand that the NHL and the NBA would pause their season for a sad money grab like this. It’s not the Olympics!!! If these leagues need more money from jersey sales and attendance, do it at the conclusion of the season. Let’s see if someone gets seriously injured, how fast this nonsense ends. Let’s get back to Isles Hockey!!
