  1. Canada hasn't owned hockey since 1972. Every player and every nation that plays it, has adopted the Canadian game and is playing it better than us. From junior up to the pros, Canada is no longer the best and hasn't been for 50+ years. It's a great honour to have the world play your game, but Canada has to scratch and claw their way for each win now. They can no longer, just show up and expect to win.

  2. Canada poked the bear!!!

    🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  3. The funniest part is in the US hockey is probably 4th most popular, yet huge in Canada and we still beat youre best athletes in the sport your care about most 😂🇺🇲

  4. Canada booing the country that protects them makes them look like assholes. Canada is falling off fast.

  5. Crosby was bad. He needs to be on the fourth line. Mcdavid needs better wingers. Hellebuyck so much better than Binington.

  6. Yeah there was no Makar but USA doesn’t have Quinn Hughes. Besides Harley looked great in his minutes. We all know that USA has the superior goaltending and have comparable forwards and defensemen. So why is anyone surprised by this result?

  7. Canadians were not so patriotic when Liberals took away their freedom and fired people from their jobs? what a joke

  8. As an American, the booing doesn’t bother me. It’s whatever. I am happy the USA won, but I know Canada will be motivated if they beat Finland, so this tourney is not over. To my fellow Americans: we haven’t won anything yet.

  9. I love canadian people and in las vegas, i deal with them and hang out with them all the time. It was amazing, and this is how hockey should be played. Go 🇺🇸 USA

  10. Imagine booing a country that has protected you for over 200 years. As well as ran a defecit so that the soy filled Northerners could have a good standard of living.

  11. Canada freeloads off the USA economically and militarily for decades (still doesn’t pay their fair Nato share) and then throw a hissy fit when they are finally called out on it via tariffs.

Its like your couch surfing roommate challenging you to a fight because you wanted them to actually pay rent and then they lose the fight

  12. Time to switch McDavid wingers, reinhardt hasnt he even got a shot. And marner looks lost its a joke.

  13. If we still produced top level players, the US being good would be nearly irrelevant. Would be a tough game still but our best used to roll out line after line, big tough fast scoring defence and if you made it past that, a Price or Brodeur waiting. It's not gonna get any better.

  14. Say what you want, Bennington made some great saves but was weak on both goals. Also, freedom of speech man, the fans paid for their seat, I say boo if you want. Buy Canadian, boo America for keeping Trump in office.

  15. Boo our National Anthem? Then we kicked your ass on the ice!Canada FOFA. USA!!USA!!USA!!👊👊👊👊👊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  16. Canada is afraid of losing the mantle of best hockey country that's why there booing it's over canada U.S. is gonna dominate

  17. I hope USA wins every time,in every sport. But I cant hate on or wish ill will to team Canada. Im a big Avs fan who works at Nuggets,& Avalanche arena. Last night was phenomenal-we actually were working a HS wrestling tournament & had a lot of down time to watch the game on tv. Even a few of my coworkers-who usually dont care about sports or if the Nuggets or Avs win-they cared,& found last night somewhat compelling. Reminds me alot of the last Olympics in basketball where I certainly was going for America-but was a bit awkward pulling for Embied,& Lebron vs Jokic. And though he was terrible & clearly still injured-I still wanted Murray to do well for Canada.

Same thing here-except I dont think regular people who dont usually watch sports were near as interested in the basketball-as with the all the politics,& Canadians booing our anthem. But not the same feel as the world jrs for me-where Im not just pulling for the US-but also hoping Canada fails to medal. Most importantly I just wanna see Mckinnon,Makar,Towes,& Lekonen stay healthy. Alot of outlets,& people that usually dont care about hockey are talking about hockey,& thats great for the game. Some of that is cuz of the fights,& whole Trump,Trudeau stuff…but if thats what it takes for the casual American sports fan to care about hockey-then so be it.

Because of the Avs players I see & root for all the time in the halls,& bowels of Ball arena…but also more importantly-the growth of the game.I hope Canada beats Finland & we get a rematch in Boston. No disrespect to Finland,or Sweden. If Lehkonen,& Rantanen beat Canada,& are playing in the Final or if Sweden gets in-hardcore fans like me will still watch,& care just as much. But the casual American sports fan just wont. And certainly the people only tuning in for the spectacle of the rivalry, fights,& politics/world relations-they definitely wont care if it isnt Canada-USA. So I'm hoping Makar can play tomorrow & Mckinnon,& Toewes play better. Certainly wasnt their best games last night.

I think the US should give Ottenger the game tomorrow & probably put in the healthy scratches since weve already clinched the top spot. It isnt nothing that these guys sacrifice their 2 wks off to represent their countries,& risk injury to lay it on the line. Tomorrows game is meaningless for us-Id try to get the guys who havent played involved,& give Hellunbuck,& Tkachuk a few days off til the Final. But hopefully Canada can take care of business & we can get what we all want to see in N America-an amazing,& compelling rematch. This time your guys will get the hostile environment for sure in Boston.Though ill be pulling for the US-I think Canada will be very difficult to beat twice-especially if Makar is back. Even though the US has the best goalie,& home ice. Alot of the off ice intangibles that benefited the US last night could be in Canadas favor for the Final.

I will be excited for Thursday no matter who we play,& holding my nose to pull for guys on the Avs biggest rivals but also on USA-lol. But even though I think our odds of winning Thursday are greater if Canada gets eliminated tomorrow-its best for the game to get this anticipated rematch. The hockey,& rivalry are amazing,& its rare when the NHL captures the attention of the casual American sports fan…& even non sports fan-but trust me they have with this tournament. Even people who arent glued to every moment like me-definitely are checking the tv,,& care whos winning. Hopefully you can handle your business tomorrow. Then no matter what happens Thursday-the rematch in the Olympics is gonna be incredibly compelling. Next yr Blackwood could easily be in your net but I'm glad he gets the time off this time.
