American s played more like Junior u20 style of hockey, what based more speed and emotions. You can't win this level tournament with this style. Add here Tkachuk brothers, they are like pirates or robbers, who spends energy to wrong place and hurts himself and team. You could win some regular games and be first in the group but you will tournaments. Finally have to add also head coach ego and decisions.
They have to grow up and focus on the game, then success will come.

Truly so satisfying watching the brothers lose last night . Whos time is it again ?? Emptying the tank in the round robin was brilliant wasn’t it??
I don’t get booing the US National Anthem! It’s not all about politics and it should not be Canadians hating us because what one man said! He is egotistical but he don’t speak the way All Americans think or feel! We don’t hate Canada or Canadians because of politics or for any reason! I don’t get it!
Thoroughly enjoyed the quality of hockey in the tournament
Sid has a special quality about him….he tends to be on the right side of things….I watched every game, and he didn't look great….outside of Sweden, he looked really average out there and unable to create much….maybe a sign of his age…as a big Sid fan, hard to watch….but I'm happy he won…I wonder if it was hard for him not being more significant role on the ice…although I am sure off the ice he was a pivotal piece.
Tage and Caufield should have been in this tournament
Sid looked hurt and gassed. A lot of guys played hurt in that game. He'll play.I'd be surprised if he doesnt. I could see him skipping optionals

What a game it was last night between The US and Canada. I wanted Team USA to come out on top, but the biggest winner is the NHL in this. This four nations faceoff, they hit a grandslam with this.

If Canada and the USA played ten games it would've been 5-5, that's how close it was. It's easy after the tournament to say what was missing, benching Kyle Connor over a few other guys is questionable for sure, on the Cdn side not taking Sheffeley is a head scratcher. Simply put the game breakers didn't show up for the USA, Crosby was obviously hurt and made a huge impact for Canada, but where was Mathews and other guys. I felt Larkin was one of their best players outside Eichel, Guentzel, and the tkachuks. Even this game may of been different with Mathew Tkachuk in the lineup. Brady was a juggernaut, Cdn's answer was Bennett……I believe Penguin fans didn't want Bennett a few years ago? None the less, after the season we have seen in Pittsburgh, this was amazing to sit down and watch, I didn't breathe that entire game last night. Just to throw in a chirp, Sullivan was finally given the horses he desired and he went .500, lol. All jokes aside, The Four Nations was a brilliant showcase of the hockey talent in the NHL, only thing that could've made it better would have a team Europe & Team Asia, not having Drasaitl and guys like Kucherov seemed wrong. I wouldn't hate to see this every four years!!!

But what happened with the USA crowd? The Canadian anthem wasn't booed like it was up there. Respect goes a long way.

Don't forget Canada had the last 4 of the last 5 first overall picks so it'll be tough to catch up on generational talent
