Jordan Bennington has the "Grant Fuhr Gene". He might let in 4 goals, but if a big win is on the line, that 5th goal isn't getting in. Yesterday he was even better. You can tell Jon Cooper's method to the madness was betting the farm on Bennington in a one off, big game scenario, and he was right. Those four saves in a row in OT saved the tournament for Canada.
It all comes down to "the best team on that day" on a side note, keep politics out of hockey…the game is much greater
Great analysis Mr Corrado
I will say this, the USA played highly skilled hockey, very fluid
On this day I’m glad to be a Canadian baby did we show up
Does anyone think Matthew Tkachuk playing when he knew very well that he might not finish the game, was selfish?
Dont get me wrong tho, its tough to think about taking him out of the lineup even if he only plays half the game. But i still see it as a bit selfish on his side. Especially with Kyle Connor ready to go.
