Can’t blame Skinner directly, but he started this skid, this game was the worst passing and receiving performance since the last time they lost three straight. Better get a goalie that can keep the team in the game, not always coming from behind.
Pick the lines and stick with them. Team has 0 identity cause everyone’s playing with everyone and no one knows what the other person is going to do.
Why does this coach reward a guy like Bouchard, who won’t hit, won’t shoot, won’t block shots, can’t score on the PP, and generally can’t defend? What exactly does he bring to the table?

Loser team b/c loser leadership, loser front office, loser coach. No accountability on this team. They just went from crappy start to get to 1st in the division. They’ll be lucky to keep a WC spot.

Period # 1: Bouchard ( -2) (again!) gives away in his own zone, McDavid( – 3) is just bad at defending, Ekholm ( – 2 and 2 give away) is slow and does not clear his zone well, Picard allowed 2 goals on 11 shots, Leon Draisaitl ( -2) – the best Oilers player scored 1 goal on the power play, mediocre coach Knob created trios that don't play well together. Period #2 The Oilers had 2 power plays with a ZERO/ZIP effect, and Ovechkin scored (3:1). Why do Kapanen (-3) and Podkolzin (-3) play in the top three? only a degenerate coach knows. None of the Oilers defensemen played well: 4-1 after another shorthanded play, 5-1 after Klingberg lost the puck in the midcourt. The game was effectively over. 😂They played the third period 2:2, and the Oilers lost the final score 3:7. The mediocre Picard is about the same as Skinner, who allowed 6 goals. Oilers GM, PLEASE, fire degenerate “no balls” coach Knob 😇and trade Bouchard ASAP. His laziness creates bad conditions for his partners. His weaknesses outweigh his strengths.
Start taking the man out, both on the PK and 5 on 5. Playing gap hockey clearly isn't working.

Well, the first period was good. After that…not so much. So I am going to say what I said last year at this time, more or less…Coffey – get that defense playing like I know they can play. Bouchard is a hopeless cause but the rest of them are pretty good hockey players.

A couple of losses, and the "fans" are crying, whining and singling out players and staff to blame… crazy work.
Does everyone on the team need to step it up? Yes. But having a few bad runs doesn't mean the team is broken lol. Still near the tip top of the league, and still 2nd in the division (only 2 points away from the GK!).

The team had 10 giveaways what else should we expect? Defense could not contain Ovechkin either. One of our Defense mans keep giving away the puck, look at the past few months stats and you will find who that is. I do not understand why we can fix this one problem.
Time to come down on this group for the lack of effort and emotion to get up for games and after breaks, starts of seasons,… It's a repeating cycle long time now. Enough is enough.
