  1. With the Jets, Wild, Avalanche and Stars, you could make the argument that this is the strongest division in the league. The best hockey these playoffs will be seeing who out of these 4 will face the Oil or Knights in round 3… As an Avs fan, I wouldn't mind seeing the Wild or Jets win the Cup – good underdog story either way, and if Minnie wins, it means that Fleury gets 1 more ring 🙂

  2. As a Jets fan, I recall taking heat for my CRAZY view that the Jets would be top 6 in the league, during the season previews. It's like other fans completely forgot they were 4th in the league last year.

However, now, the bigger question is.. do they even need to make moves? Yes Crosby could crack the roster, but he'd have to fight for 1C status with Scheif. Is he gonna be OK with the trade, for his 4th cup if it's pissing off Penguin fans? He can always be traded back in the offseason, sheesh!

That said, I suspect the Jets would also need a top tier D man, to make a move at that position, too. Hmmm.

  3. But do they have an answer for Val Nicushkin? Fast, forechecking teams intimidate the Jets.

  4. And yet they still haven't proven they can do it when it matters most. Not just Hellunbuck-but most the team. But he's definitely a part of it,& while he played a good game-the McKinnon,& McDavid goals in the gold medal game have to put al little doubt still up in there- though nobody will be thinking of that game when the playoffs start. But very similar to OKC in the NBA -except most of OKC is super young,& havent had many chances yet to prove it in the playoffs. That still matters-til you prove it in the playoffs it's all potential, conjecture & maybes/should bes. But WPG has a lot of guys who aren't quite so young,& have already failed to get it done when it matters most. Doesn't mean either team won't this playoffs -they might.

But there's a HUGE difference in pro sports between we "think" you can do it…vs we know cuz you've already proven it. I'm not even talking about winning a championship necessarily. Most of OKC hasnt made it out of 2nd round,& into even a conference final. Most of WPG has never made a Finals-they do have several guys who made 1 WCF-Hellunbuck included-& that is something. But that was a long time ago,& most those guys have had multiple early exits. Not like most those series they were losing as huge favorites or anything. In fact they were favored to lose most those series. But not last year vs my AVS,& they didn't lose-they got run out of the series bad.-after WPG dominated us last regular season. Again-until ya prove it-ya haven't done it. Having already done it guarantees nothing & not having done it doesn't mean you won't break through eventually.

But I personally trust teams far more who've proven it cuz some teams core never do get over the hump-probably most don't ever get over the title hump in fact. And in the West-only Colorado & Vegas have truly proven it,& we've kinda proven if Nichuskin is suspended or hurt-we probably can't do it again. But Colorado,& Vegas cores have proven it…Edmonton & Dallas to a lesser degree. (both have made recent Finals,& multiple WCFs) Same with my Nuggets in the NBA. Steph,LeBron,Luka,AD,& KD have proven it individually but their teams really haven't for the most part. And of course all title teams didn't prove it-until they finally did the 1st time. Maybe WPG,Minny, Vancouver,LA etc will this spring. But your core KNOWING they can do it -is an advantage over teams who simply believe they can get it done.

  5. The Jets winning the cup would only be second to Vancouver winning it ….the 🐻 won't probably make the playoffs 😊

  6. I sure thought they were going to lose that Sharks game! Going to the Dallas game, can’t wait. I’m going to enjoy the regular season and then worry about the play offs. 🙂

  7. Nino is having a decent season. +15 so far this season. Lowry, Appleton, Niederreiter have been effect as a 3rd line.

  8. The Jets were a big surprise for me this season. After the exit from the playoffs last season, I figured it was time to blow it up. I think they could use a solid depth defenceman to round out the group, though. We'll see what it looks like when comes to the playoffs. I'm hoping it's, minimum, 1 round.

  9. Jets are 2nd to the caps in Goals For and 1st in Goals Against as well

  10. The Jets must do well in the Playoffs, this we know. But, what a regular season. Stunning.

  11. Your presentation is so smooth, i hope you get picked up by a network for a regular gig

  12. How cool will it be to have Winnipeg bring the cup back to Canada. Go Jets go.

  13. It's all gonna depend on how Hellebuyck does in the playoffs. Jets look scary, no doubt, but can Hellebuyck hold up in the playoffs?

  14. Before OT of 4 Nations Final, I made a devilish deal with Connor Hellybuyck: I said let Canada wins and we’ll give you the Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe.
