Schenn yes(d-man), Scott Laughton or someone like him and Brandon tanev would make more sense , I think. Cap a little better but every team retains.

I hope they don't trade Robertson…I know it sounds like recency bias because of his play of late but he works his ass off every night he has 50 hits on the season compared to Domi's 17 and I feel is on the edge of breaking out big time. I would hold onto him for rest of season and put him with some better players and give him some more ice-time and see what he can do and make a choice on him at the end of the season.

do not trade cowan or minten period..trading either is foolish both will be studs in 2-3 years… brayden is like minus 55 or 60 last 3 years is horrendous… and leafs had luke twice…if he was any good leafs would have kept him…i didnt like him in his prime in toronto, paryko absoletly thats a dman i would pay for..keep in mind leafs wanted..a line 3 center… and with jankrook returning is exactly what leafs asked for…there are also cheaper options that dont involve our first overall picks or top prospects to upgrade our maple leafs team slightly today and not hurt it so badly tomorrow..my thoughts..

In hindsight Luke Schenn should never have been traded for JVR! Trade the prospects if need be. This iteration of the Leafs only has a window to win now or within the next 2 years!!! Go Leafs!
I would love Parayko. However I think it would cost an arm and leg . If your trying to get Schenn and Parayko , I bet you it costs Minten and Cowan and a 1st round pick to start.

I dont really want to move cowan or minten. If I had to though I would move cowan as minten is a lot more versatile. I don't know why brayden shenn is the mark, but we would need to move domi + have them retain some salary.

Making a trade just to make a trade makes no sense.
Giving up a young player or picks for an old slow D man or an overpaid rental is a complete waste and won't help us win a cup.

Yes to Schenn brothers. Brayden can play. Luke slower, yes but STILL one if the most respected, if not feared D men in NHL. And most of all… Dont underestimate bringing in those type of guys that have something to prove. They will play like demons for that cup toward the empty of their careers, and on a new team.
Luke would be great fit on leafs D. Use him wisely. Brayden nice fit any way you slice it.

Luke Schenn didn't look bad on Toronto when he was with Morgan Reilly starting in the offensive zone. Luke Schenn is a BEAST in front of the net. But use Luke Schenn to stop players coming in on him, he'll get absolutely walked. He comes in, he's got to be played with Reilly again.

Trading Robertson,Minten and Cowan will be a HUGE mistake.
The bottom 6 are overpaid and or useless!! Our 6th,7th,8th and 9th dmen are useless.
Like some suggest..Marner may test free agency. So trading those kids will be STUPID!! any addition to 3rd and 4th line will not be a game changing cup winning move
