As an active oilers fan since the 06 run, I've pretty much seen everything from the decade of darkness to drafting Mcdavid 1st overall in 2015 and watch this team slowly get better but also seen them trade away alot of assists for norhing. Some Holland trades really hurt us. Like losing Michael Kesselring in that Nik bjugstad trade really hurt us. And not resigning Holloway and Broberg hurt us. Bring in 2 older guys in J.Skinner, and Arvinson really hurt us. Were now the Slowest team in the NHL…. idk why our Owner has allowed our Goalie coaches there jobs for this long, its pretty sad Mike Smith had to FIRE Dustin Swartz because he a horrible goalie coach… were not the same team as last year Stanley Cup final team… tbh were Doomed this season i be surprised if we make it past the 1st round!
They need to rebuild the top 6. We lost chemistry on this team. Time for a shake up! Trade bouchard while he still has value. Upgrade the goalie position if possible. And add 2 top RW and 1 LW

The last game against Florida was a bit better, a little more passion but their porous defence and goaltending needs to be addressed. McDavid will fire up again in not worried about that. Also they’re not trading McDavid that’s insane

Endless line blendering with a coach that seems to offer nothing else?
We shuffled around our bottom 6 in a way that hurts, our defence is absolutely atrocious (seriously, Bouchard should be a bottom 2 pairing that you pull out on the power play at best), and we have a goal-tending coach with the intelligence of a dead rat.
That play manifested from a horrific change by 97, 29 and 18. They hung the D out to dry. I'm not excusing Bouch' play this year though. He's been terrible.

It's hard to understand what is going on with Bouchard. He's in a contract year and has every reason to be playing his best. He doesn't look like he cares. Some guys are trying their hardest but just don't seem to be getting it right. Bouchard doesn't seem to be trying.
Go back watch each goal against .. 3 out of 4 were directly caused by BOUCHARD , ALL CLEAR AS DAY from HIS LACK OF EFFORT Time to bench him. force him to watch as his lacklustre effort (bare min) was the major contributing factor IN 3 of the GOALS AGAINST . NOT STUART"s FAULT , BOUCHARDS A LIABILITY IN HIS CURRENT STATE OF PLAY PERFORMANCE , unless he steps up (doubtful) should be benched
Go back watch each goal against .. 3 out of 4 were directly caused by BOUCHARD , ALL CLEAR AS DAY from HIS LACK OF EFFORT then look @ past 20 games . again 80% because of bouchard. Skinner can't keep up with all bouchs bs. no goalie can. go back and look who is always to blame . its bouch period

I had to go watch and wow the stills don't do it justice. That play by Bouchard was ABYSMAL. Shocking is correct.
I haven't been able to watch a whole game since forever. I know the defense are disengaged, some worst than others, but that is just terrible. I could see 1 or 2 guys being in a slump but it shouldn't drag down the whole team. Hopefully they make some moves to rectify the situation, the coach should bench a few people, and not worry so much about their tender egos.
Oilers are not built for success they might as well trade McDavid and Draisaitl and restart from scratch
