Am I wrong to suspect that it's Kane himself being difficult and not saying to management that he's not going to screw with their cap by declaring to be healthy after the trade deadline and just before the playoffs?

Marchand is sitting and Boston scouts will be at the next Oilers game. I was thinking Kane for Marchand but then I'm not sure why the scouts would be at the game in the first place, but learning about the trade request, Boston's surely in on it.
There is no trade that will help the 12 severely struggling players on this team currently. There isn't a single trade that can happen without stripping our already alarmingly bare prospect pool and draft capitol. Less is more this year. Id rather see zero trades because any trades that do happen is going to cost us 1 or 2 of our grand total 3 nhl prospects

Oilers off season work was a complete failure. Holloway 19G, Foegele 17G, Mcleod 14G, and those are also the speed and PKers. They can trade Kane, but please do not bring in another softie. It is just not what Oilers need at this point.

We needed Kane's toughness all year, but the guy hasn't played in a full season. We need a guy that hits, but we need a healthy guy. I'm ok moving on from Kane and Ardvison for another top 9 200lb+ player that hits. That's almost 9 mil in cap space to upgrade on top 9.
Speculating on a guy being a problem is not cool. The guys been hurt, im sure doing everything he can to get back…who wouldn't
