Ryan Rishaug is right on point. This team is deficient in so many areas like he mentioned. They made a mistake putting too much faith in Bouchard and Skinner. They should have kept Broberg, Holloway, and McLeod. They can make all the trades and it won’t make a difference if they don’t get a true number 1 goalie. Gibson is not the answer and Binnington doesn’t want to come to Edmonton
And replace kane with whom? Oilers are super soft, they need MUCH more grit. And remember how key kane was a couple years ago?
The way rishaug is talking about Kane is sounds like he is setting up the oilers to be the first ones charged with "meddling" or whatever the new rule is…
Sadly, we’re not as good as we were last year. I’m worried it was our best chance at a cup (hope I’m wrong). Connor and others look wiped. Honestly, a short playoff run might not be the worst thing—a long summer to rest and reset.

Bouchard needs to go. Eklholm or Nurse can do 1st poweplay unit with no problem. Its pretty much built for Draisaitl and McDavid

Keep Kane and trade Skinner to make a bit more cap room. Then get Kostin and the 2 from Boston and the Oilers will be sitting much better.
I like evander. Fantastic player when he was on the Sharks and his early years here. However with him being 33, hes declining with a year off. I dont believe he would make a huge impact even when he comes back unfortunately
