  1. I remember saying the Canucks would step back this year and might not make the playoffs. Many people could not fathom that possibility. I've been watching the Canucks since the mid 1970s … Somehow, this franchise has consistently struggled building momentum over a number of seasons. Tough watching this happen again … sigh.

  2. It’s not all his fault but to essentially go missing in points post contract is wild

  3. Man I'm from the Edmonton area. I could've been an Oilers fan but I thought the Canucks logo was a shark. Kids are stupid.

  4. This is a management team who overrated their own team last year, and sold a bunch of assets to “go for it”. The problem is the team was obviously massively overachieving at the time, and it wasn’t a true snapshot of what we really had. I knew it, lots of Canucks fans failed to recognize it at the time.

This season we are back to the reality of the Canucks team we always had. The big problem is the assets we spent last year to make a run, has set us back even more years before this team actually does become a true contender.

Are you seriously still trying to make excuses for Petterson Shannon?

The Petterson contract scenario was a massive blunder this management deserves heavy criticism for, especially after they doubled down and traded Miller. Petterson is still useless with Miller gone, so I guess that excuse goes out the window. If they fail to unload him before his NMC kicks in, then they should all be fired! It isn’t so much all Petterson’s lack of production for dollar that bothers folks about him either. It’s the constant negative body language that he displays. It’s the smug attitude he carries himself with during interviews. It’s obvious lack of work ethic that he displays. It’s constant finger pointing. Now it’s the Vancouver media making him play so poorly. Now you’re selling the notion that he has nobody to play with. That doesn’t explain his disappearance during last years playoffs. That’s doesn’t explain his pointless effort in the 4 nations. In both cases he had plenty of guys to pass the puck to. The guy clearly needs a change of scenery like yesterday.

  5. Habs top 6 is better. Habs on paper the better team. Those 2 statements are a scathing endictement on the Canucks. And I cant argue against either.

  6. My grandfather never got to see the Canucks win a Stanley Cup in his lifetime and now my father is on his way out with stage 4 cancer without seeing the Canucks win a Stanley Cup I'm really fearing I'm never going to see the Canucks win a Stanley Cup in my lifetime either this is getting really difficult

  7. If there are any NHL players or teams watching this, looking at u Vancouver, leave a comment down below pls.

  8. Zadorov was such a perfect fit for this team. He is dearly missed. Dude was a playoff beast as well. AND he meshed so well with the guys in the locker room. You can say he’s not worth his cap hit, but he’s in Boston. And while with Vancouver, he was a completely different player.

  9. Pettersson is a great player but he might be weighed down by the expectations of that contract. I understand what you're saying about who Pettersson is playing with, but he played with great players every shift for Sweden at 4 Nations and was invisible. He couldn't do anything despite being on the ice almost all the time with Hedman, Karlsson, or Dahlin, and two gifted wingers (whomever they were, I forget). The bottom line is that he is the star, he's the goal scorer. Two years ago he had 102 points. Maybe they were dumb to trade Kuzmenko.

  10. Which team trade, the best player that gets 100 point every year? And you keep $11 million bomb around

  11. Blow it up. Sad to say this, again: this is the 17th time I’ve felt it was time to dismantle the team. I have supported this team since 1970, and I’m getting too old to support them anymore, haha.

  12. They've never really committed to the rebuild. They'd find 1, maybe 2 guys, that gave them a bit of a lift but those guys were usually just renters. They weren't guys you could assemble a roster around, they were the guys you'd pick to round out a roster.

  13. Sorryb, if I don’t work at work and show up to work I get fired in days , we didn’t bring negative energy, players just need to be accountable at work , they get paid too much to be pampered

  14. Good to see Cheeto is not a dud just yet…

If you can sign Boeser for $8mil times 8yrs would you do it? If not, then which FA out there can give you similar production at a similar price and age…

There's a reason why Rutherford cornered the market on Petterssons. We have THREE of them to distribute blame…

  15. When Tocchet was hired I was worried about Petey, Kuzy, Hoglander and Boeser because I didn't think they were Tocchet Players. It really seems this year other teams have figured out Tocchet's system and instead of changing it Tocchet is expecting them to just "do it better".

  16. Don’t forget Shannon that Quinn Hughes may want to move to New Jersey if the Canucks keep being mediocre

For who is scoring goals my guess would be Boeser, Garland, and DeBrusk but as you pointed out I don’t think we can rely on them to produce enough goals

  17. I'm a huge Horvat fan, bought his jersey during the 50th year. I can't believe we gave up on a great Canadian 2 way player who takes faceoffs in all situations because we decided to keep Miller… then to lose Miller over Petey or other reasons X. Imagine Horvat and Miller as a duo for centers, Canucks would be in tops for faceoffs… ohwell maybe next year :*(

  18. At this point you might as well just turn on the camera, say "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed" and end the video there

  19. i think a large part of last years success was our 3rd and 4th line. they got the other teams first line hemmed in the d zone all the time. but tochette keeps breaking them up and now they got no chemistry or consistancy.

  20. "Doing a Benning," interesting analysis. Post-season patchwork through free agency, hit & miss and then dump the bad contracts (if possible). Oh, Pettersson did have good seasons with current Canuck players. Most games I ask, "Is Petey benched?"

  21. Maybe letting lindholm and zadorov go was partially because of petey taking so much for himself, making JT mad at petey, causing the whole team to fight.

  22. When is Bruins therapy session? Would love a level headed take on them that isn't in the market where everything is Sweeney’s fault besides when things go right then it was just magic 🤦‍♂️😂
