I'm a 90s kid, NHL was a lot of fun back then, but the game is infinitely more exciting now, go watch a full 90s game from start to finish.
My childhood!!! Watching Bure was a treat
love the Islanders fisherman jersey
It was big fun, the left wing lock was f**king terrible. Seemingly everyone got BIG. (see Lindros, Hatcher bros., Pronger, etc.) They hardly wrecked goalies every night. I miss the Whalers & Nordiques. I'm fine with who they are now but I'd like a league with all four.
It wouldn't his video without some sort of pumping of a redwing
The 90s when a Canadian team last won a cup.
I would get Avalanche broadcasts in Fresno as a kid and watched their rivalry with Deroit and have not stopped warching hockey since.
I don’t care what anyone says, I loved the Captain Highliner Jerseys.
Sweaters not jerseys
Go Detroit Red Wings 🐙
You missed the most obvious and biggest development in professional hockey in the 90's, which was Gary Bettman's intentional Americanization of the NHL; to strengthen the game in America, and to weaken it in Canada. We no longer really have professional hockey in Canada.
The early 90s was a scoring bonanza. The late 90s was boring
And as a result. The NHL has a wussification of the players and the the rise of the goons.
“Teams used to run each others goalies, which doesn’t happen anymore.”

94 was when the NYR won Stanley cup last year
The picture u choose of the hurricanes player was my high school hockey coach for a year. Nikos Tselios. Yes it’s spelled with a T, it’s a Greek last name
Someone who wasnt alive analyzing….no thank you
That logo was used by the LA Kings? I swear I've seen Youtube channels use that logo
They actually played hockey back then…not this wimpy sport it has become
Best time in the NHL for sure. Today’s game is Euro League tournament type hockey. Almost reminiscent of Premier League football.
thats my play era
Was better hockey. Fighting was actual fighting, not the slap fest over clean gits BS it is now.
I've never understood the hate for the fisherman jersey. The logo is pretty solid.
The waves on the jersey look a little tacky, a bit AHLish…. But tacky was kind of a 90s thing.
I mean, Tampa Bay has literal waves on their 90s jersey WITH rain drops.
God I miss Quebec and Hartford
Everything was better in the 90s!
What I miss most about 90's hockey is the clean physical play. A big hit in today's game is a rare thing while it would happen routinely in the 90's. I hate that players do not clear out other players in front of the net like they use to.
Sure was more exciting and not a sissy sport like today
Bring back Quebec
Best part of hockey in the 90’s was NHL 94
Yeah, NHL was fun in the 90s. But those times pale in comparison to what we had in the 60s/70s/and early 80s. That was fun the likes of which we will never see again.
I think it was the best era. Still lots of physicality in the game mixed with skill
Way better hockey back then! Don't @ me 💯
Burger King Jersey 🤣
Nicklas lidstrom was so goddamn good 👍
BRING BACK THE OLD PANTHERS LOGO! And while you’re at it in Florida go ahead and BRING BACK THE OLD DOLPHINS LOGO. The one with the dolphin wearing a helmet.
You forgot about Winnipeg 1.0 being relocated to Phoenix.
The 90s nhl was great!! It had one of the greatest rivalries, wings and avalanche
It was the best and early 2000s
