I look at the stats, both advanced and straight up, and both Binnington and Gibson (especially Gibson when you look at Gsax) seem like a massive upgrade on pickard who is currently ranked at 79th in the league at Gsax. Skinner is 71st… how can you roll the dice on this with McDavid in his prime and Draisaitl having a career year?

Binnington need to be the goalie for edmonton, carolina needs to learn about these things to give up things before knowing they will actually be able to sign them. Now you give up so much for 2 years and get nothing in return. Not good.
As an Avs fan, I hope Mikko stays in Carolina, because if they trade him, it'll be back to the west. Carolina put Mikko in a tight defensive system and made him a non-factor. I wouldn't wanna see him in Vegas or Dallas.
If the Devils trade for a rental in Brock Nelson and pay presumably the division rival tax to do it, might as well fold the franchise. This year is shot no matter who they bring in. Use the cap space to bring in someone with term.
