Les Hurricanes font-ils réellement cela?

Voici mes réflexions sur tous les métiers qui ont baissé dans la LNH depuis mon dernier téléchargement. Ainsi qu’une mise à jour concernant Mikko Rantanen. 1. Rantanen isn't gelling in Carolina. Why keep him around when you could potentially get a player who's a better fit with them?

  2. keep in mind rantanen never said he wouldnt resign in carolina. he said he wouldnt before the deadline. if rantanen doesnt wanna stay, than if rather trade for a player who wants to be here, as long as the return is right. i do think chances are slim of him staying tho. i trust tulsky. he’ll only trade him if it gets us a good return. if mikko stays as a rental, we still can go for a cup. i hope he stays, as he can take this team to another level.

  3. Of all the teams out there, the one I think makes the most sense is Jersey. They won't have Hughes for the playoffs. If they wanna write the season off, so be it, but they could rebolster their top 6 with Rantanen, and they have the assets to make it happen.

    I would say
To NJ: Rantanen with 50% retention
To CAR: Stefan Noesen, both 2025 2nd round picks and a conditional 2026 1st. The condition being if Rantanen resigns in NJ.

  4. Rantanen is probably going out west. I do think Rantanen ends up with Dallas. They are the only team named who can trade for him and extend him without risking an important piece of their core.

  5. As a Penguins fan, I like Novak/Schenn for Bunting. In Tommy Novak we at best get a younger play with offensive promise to play with either Crosby or Malkin or an upgrade to the 3rd line centre position. In Luke Schenn, he either is traded by the deadline to stockpile more draft capital or he slides in on the 3rd pair and potentially helps Ryan Graves. Mostly excited to see Tommy Novak play in Pittsburgh. Also, Bunting was a solid Penguin, but he just seems to be a power play merchant this season, and had a very slow start to the year.

  6. HOT TAKE: Boston should trade Marchand and a 1st for Rantanen, get younger to start off their retool

  7. I don't understand the logic of the Canes with the whole Rantanen you traded and gave up a lot of assets for a guy that was holding out for a lot of money in a market that he clearly loved and loved his teammates. Why would he then sign for less in Carolina than what he wanted if he were to go to FA seems like they got overexcited for the big asset and forgot that he could just very well walk after this season and are now backtracking and creating a mess around the situation which probably isn't helping Rantanen on the ice

  8. I swear the Kings are gonna do something stupid like Byfield + Clarke for Rantanen. I could absolutely see Byfield thriving in Carolina though.

  9. The point you're missing, is that Mikko holds ALL the cards for which market he wants to play in. Carolina holds no power over him. If he doesn't want to play there, he's not going to and I'm pretty sure that's where this thing is headed.

This is a serious indictment on Rod Brindamour. Tulsky has gone out and acquired not one but TWO superstar forwards who have both declined to play RBD's system, it stifles the raw offensive output of any player who opts to play for them, and they can't even make it out of the ECF.

I think ppl ought to begin asking if RBD is the right man for the job. I seldom ever enjoy watching Carolina Hurricane's games. It makes for three hours of watching boring, uneventful hockey for the most part. And he is seemingly scaring away the superstars that Tulsky brings in.

    Fire the coach.

  10. @OhNyquist : 'THG' aka The Hockey beat you to all this news by over an hour!

  11. Even tho jersey needs centers. I would love to see rantanen in a devils jersey….

NJD: nemec, mercer, 2026 1st round
    CAR: rantanen

  12. They need to at least try. He’s going to test the market and probably end up on one of the Florida teams because the cup will always run through Florida. If they can get a decent asset with any term it’s worth making the trade.

  13. Carolina will lose a lot of value in trading Rantanen because the new team has a lot less re-sign opportunity than Carolina had.

  14. Frank Serevalli calling the Pens and Preds trade "the worst hockey trade" he's seen in 25 years is just bonkers. What is this guy smoking, it's such a tame trade to react that viscerally is crazy

  15. Buffalo sign and trade! Byram some young lads and whatever else it takes. Bring in some vets in the off-season with winning pedigree and hopefully we see buffalo cut the playoff drought next season. Not a buffalo fan, but a fan of buffalo not being terrible.

  16. Ducks made out like BANDITS. Dumo was solid in Anaheim. His play style brought peace to our defensive game. I really loved the way our younger defensemen have stepped up this season and I believe DUMO is a big influence on that. He will be missed. I see the ducks defensively being a bit worse rest of season since this frees up time for ZELLY and MINTY to have a spot daily. But I’m glad there’s a chance for them to get more playing time.

I hope the ducks flip FABBRI, GIBSON, or STROMER for some more pieces. The future is bright in orange country!.

  17. This was a Low blow by Dubas knowing Toronto was interested in Schenn unless He's after a certain player from Toronto & wants to Flip Schenn

  18. I'd just like to say, for everyone who said, "Carolina won't do this for picks, your mock trade is bad" a big, fat, kiss my a– 😂😂😂
