My very first thought of hockey when I woke up the day after the trade deadline was: wow, the Panthers basically got Marchand for a very low trade value. I think if you were to try and make a similar trade offer on EA Sports NHL25 you'd get the generic deline response from the GM of Boston saying "your offer humiliates our hockey club" but I mean, one thing for certain is that's a bargain price for Marchand. Would've loved to see him end up in Tampa for a draft pick.

I think Marchand was a 2nd with protections cause of him being injured, but also cause it seemed to be last minute and boston wanted to get something rather than nothing but also allows marchand to compete for a cup and i think he goes back to boston july 1st anyway. But carlo trade surprised me, im curious to how boston replaces him this off season

It's a sad day for Boston. Hindsight is 20/20 but they really fumbled the Swayman deal and they would have been better off selling hard after their centennial season. McAvoy and Pastrnak deserve better

Question totally off topic…can hockey players chew gum during a game? I've seen them chewing during practice…but I would think they "can't" or "shouldn't" during an actual game, but I've seen a couple do it.
My Bruins have now hit rock bottom , I don't see how the trades helped them at all. In my eyes the team just got worse.
