The top line has been those three most of the season. That isn't what shows loss of players, the second line is.
Mittelstat is younger and has similar production as coyle, so it probably works out.
E Lindholm needs to put up at least 50 points to not be a bust of a contract. Zadorov was very confusing, but at least Carlo is out.
I really thought Lohrei would have been the most valuable trade asset.
As the cap jumps, Sway and Lindholm's money won't be terrible if they can at least perform at a "medium" level vs expectations.
I will not be rooting for Florida to win the cup. Don’t care that it’s better for Boston’s draft (a notion that sickens me) or that Marchy’s on the team now.

I'm not a Boston fan so I'd happily see them go into a perpetual rebuild like Buffalo. As for the goalie "drama", something had to be done. Paying 8+ million each to both your goalies were never gonna happen.
Carolina wanted to trade Rantanen for Marner – Toronto asked Marner to waive his no-trade clause and he refused, said he wants to stay in Toronto, so forget that.
I don't know how anyone watching the B's this year can possibly think re-tool… given the moves of late, same thing. This is a rebuild. Too bad they can't trade Swayman… Korpisalo has been as good, if not better at a fraction of the price. Boston probably should have kept Ulmark
Lindholm and Zadorov were not evaluated properly, way over paid for what they bring to the table. Casey M. will not workout, career minus player and already had two teams give up on him. The bottom line is they lack talent, and I have been watching them since I was in diapers on Channel 38.
In a rebuild i assume mcavoy and pasternak get traded? Whereas if you trade them its now a true rebuild? I dont think theres a point in keeping them during their prime if you are really stripping it down
If Marchie wins a cup with FL… That would make it feel 100x worse! The last thing I want is to see FL get another cup within the next 10years

7:02 lingholm is the repeat history for T. Hall… We got a player well past him prime thinking he was play like he did 5-7years prior.
Montgomery may not have been the only problem or even the biggest problem, but it was pretty clear that he wasn't part of the solution either. For one thing, the team has been missing passes all year, which screams a lack of chemistry. Montgomery failed to run a training camp that built chemistry this past off-season and in-season his line-blender approach actively prevented the players from developing chemistry. For another, the team's defensive structure has gotten worse every year since Cassidy left, further declining with the loss of Bergeron, and then fell off a cliff this year. Montgomery is a creativity guy, not a structure/fundamentals guy, and so he was never going to be able to rebuild that defensive system effectively.
With regards with Marchard joining Florida there's that old saying "if you can't beat them, join them".
Seems like a rebuild to me. They can call it what they want. You can't expect too much from this team at this point. Sometimes it's better to rebuild than try to "retool".
The Bruins get the least out of the most of any team in the NHL. I've been watching hockey for over 50 years, and in the last 50 years the Bruins have had, with the exception of a poor year here & there, consistently good and even great teams, and they only have one Stanley Cup to show for it.

One thing I don't get with folks is the criticism of the player contracts. They are what they are. Almost no one is critical at the time it gets signed. When things get bad, then that's when people come out of the shadows. Most contracts are bad if you really look at them.
All the other teams fans would be so mad if the bruins win the draft lottery 😂
The draft picks Boston got will most likely be used in trades for a true retool and most likely won’t be used by Boston in the draft. Jokiharu most likely is just a rental to play defense so an ahl player who’s not ready didn’t need to be forced to play games at too high a level.
