Can someone explain how the ref immediately knows he is going to wave off the goal for goalie interference if it goes in, but doesn’t actually call goalie interference?

How does Nate do it? A combination of dedication, work ethic and an insane level of talent. There are players with one or more of those, but when you have all 3, you get a Mackinnon.
