Fan since the beginnings in Raleigh and I’m excited about where our franchise is right now because of our office. I think there are legitimate criticisms about how little they knew when it came to Mikko and his mentality before the trade, but most teams couldn’t negotiate these blockbuster deals like Tulsky and his support staff and when it didn’t work out, they made sure they got something in return. The office is playing classic Carolina hockey-with a desperation to win. I’m excited about the names on the ice but bigger picture for me is that our “small market” team is still heading in the right direction more than some “big market” teams bc of the names off the ice.
I've come to realize that I used to really enjoy following the Hurricanes. But I've become a really lousy fan since August, 2021 when they offfer sheeted Kotkaniemi. So I'm going to refrain from commenting on the Canes on social media anymore as I no longer agree with the direction of the franchise. There's just been way too many under-sized forwards & prospects & way too many questionable personnel moves over the last four seasons IMO.
We had a top scorer in Necas. We should have traded for a center to play with him. Or just let him and Aho have the icetime to figure out their 5 on 5 game
