As a life long SABRES FAN (I know…) This doesn't surprise me that much… I've been their fan since they drafted Tom Barrasso(I grew up in SLC, UT which doesn't make sense until I tell you that I've played Goalie since first year squirt) and since then it seems Buffalo has always been a BUILD FROM THE NET OUT… Barrasso, Hasek, Miller… It wouldn't surprise me to see Buffalo trade Eichel for an ALL STAR Goalie and some other top tier players(they better if they're going to trade the second best player in the NHL!!!

Hes not a leader, he's not strong on transition to defense. If you can get a Lindros type deal for him than do it. No one should be off limits when you miss the playoffs. Doesnt matter who it is, if you can get an amazing package then do it. He would thrive in a situation where there are veterans to teach him instead of a clique he has in buffalo

Jeff Skinner still hasn't played an NHL playoff game yet, that speaks volumes about how overpaid that he is.
I don’t think dangle realizes buffalo has improved (Winning percentage) every year slowly they, deserve bashing and to be made fun of but mentioning guys like lazar and not reinhart or olofsson who got hurt and had thirty goal potential easily and Dylan cozens mittlesstadt Staal with skinner , jokinarju montour dahlin …..individualy some of these names arent very wow but all together is not bad. Even guys like Kahun and THompson have potential. Oh and girgensens hasn’t left because he’s a good fourth line grinder, it's just you made it sound like its Eichel, Lazar and Okposo and mention Skinner had an off year, but if you took the time to see he has historically always folloed up a bad season with a 30 g or more year…there is a lot more. Worry about the leafs depth. You went from one of the deepest forward groups to 4 forwards and scraps. 7 players in the last 2 years that hit 20 goals o n toronto gone. And backup goalies and d men too .
Also Buffalo has potential in net ullmarks been solid considering it was his first and second seasons….. and ukko Pekka luukonen also could be a great tandem It's laughable you think the rangers have a much better roster. Eichel and Dahlin for anyone starting a franchise slaughters that entire roster.

1) this team that doesn’t have annyyyyyone seems to alwAys beat the leafs and has been to two east finals since your team has even won a series and that’s with buffalo not having made playoffs in decade Ouch. No wonder you're so blind.
2) jack eichel has the best goal per game of any player against the leafs ever just passing ovechkin…..hes always been better then Matthews who always has had Kadri or Tavares to take the pressure off at C, Eichel has no one like that, AND AM always has guys like Nylander or Marner on his wing, sometimes all the top guys on PP!

Only trade for Eichel that would at the very least make some sense is if Buffalo gets a young 1st line player and a top pairing defenseman, any less wouldn’t be enough
