  1. Its not that hes old school, its that he makes it about him instead of the team and that quote is the perfect example of that

  2. Because he did bad trades he was sitting all the players out all the time and the team stopped respecting him because he was punishing them if the puck bounced the wrong way

  3. Torts style of coaching has a shelf life. The initial shock of his style can be affective short term but eventually grows old and players stop listening to him.

  4. Torts should have known what he signed up for. He knew he was going to a rebuild project not a contender

Torts had it with the management an he absolutely reamed them out behind closed doors no doubt in my mind an if they were not gonna fire him he wasn't coming back if they were going to continue on managing how they have been so they fired him – Torts should try managing … Great hockey mind great person .
