  1. If Buffalo trades Eichel, they would need a center coming back to fill his spot. Only way I see Eichel going to the Rangers is if they send Lafreniere + Mika Zibanejad or Ryan Strome for Eichel + something. More realistically though, I don't think Eichel is getting traded until he tells Sabres management he wants out, because there is almost no way you win a trade when you are giving up one of the top 5 centers in the league.

  2. Really love you guys… "Let's pretend we're GM material" "I know better than most GMs in the league". Fun.

  3. "no excuse for him not to be good" obviously Adam hasn't watched the last two years of playoffs because he disappears after game 2 every year.

  4. Worth noting that the Rangers get an extra ~$10 million off the books in 2021-22 because the Lundqvist and Shattenkirk buyouts get significantly cheaper in terms of cap money. I don't think salary will be an issue for them if they did get Eichel.

  5. If there was a way to have the Sabres only pay the 1.5-2 mil for only like 3-4 years or until cap goes up then Id give then Laf and next years first and 2nd and I’d consider that fair. If it has to be covered the entirety of Eichals contract, theres no way I’m doing that as the Sabres because if you get Laf and you keep Dahlin and he grows into that top end number 1 we think he can be, your timeline is 4-5 years from now they are good and competing again

  6. I think Adam is right with If Eichel Left Buffalo fans would side with him, a Martyr situation of "Wow the Management blew Eich's start to the NHL, we want changes NOW".
And also maybe "sad to see him go but glad he left"

  7. Rangers would be happy to trade Kreider to the Leafs. We can’t afford him. How about a 2021 1st? Let me know Leafs fans!

  8. If Jack Eichel was for sale then Buffalo would have picked Cole Perfetti or Marco Rossi before Jack Quinn. Their only excuse for picking Jack Quinn in that spot was to play with Eichel. Not to mention Eric Staal's new position would be completely useless without Eichel. So there is no way they are trading him

  9. My dad and I were spitballing ways to fix the oilers and thought the rangers were the answer. Our trade is McDavid for Zibanejad, lafreniere and shesterkin. The only hole the oilers have left then is the defensemen. And it clears almost 7mil in cap space. To bad zibenajad has a no move sigh. That and we dont want to be run out of edmonton.

  10. If Eichel is getting traded its not to the rangers unless they manage to find a way to resign kakko and some how keep the first overall pick idk how much thats rly worth but prbly more than Eichels contract

  11. No no no, Panarin and Lafreniére and Fox and a 1st would have to be the starting point and I don't think Adams takes even that. Do you guys even know hockey??? Leafs fans brains are fried from terribleness 😂😂😂

  12. This is NEVER going to happen. Just stop. You look silly just suggesting it. No team in the NHL would give up the sheer amount of assets it would take to get it done if it were even a possibility. And its not. Stop.

  13. The Eichel to the rangers trade doesn't involve Laf. It involves Kakko, Strome, one of our top D prospects (K. Miller, N.Lundkvist, Jones) as well as a first or two. That's the trade that gets Eichel, not Laf.

  14. If you trade Eichel.. you let Hall and Eichel light it up this year and trade them both for more treats and goodies than you could ever ask for

  15. The problem for the Rangers going forward is Gordon's awful cap management. Panarin is being paid 11M AAV until 2027 Kreider is being paid 6.5M AAV until 2027, and he'll be 37 by then. The term for Kreider is way too long. And Trouba, a pylon defensively that's only good on the PP is being paid 8M AAV until 2027 as well.

    – Shesterkin, Buchnevich, and Chytil will need new contracts next year.
    – Zibanejad, Kakko, and Fox will need new contracts in 2023.
    – Lafreniere will need his first big contract in 2024.
    – And what about when their top prospects like K'Andre Miller and Nils Lundqvist come up and need contracts?

Gordon is gonna have to pull some Kyle Dubas level cap gymnastics to keep this window open.

  16. Morons. Sabres need to trade Eichel? And Adam says they dont havea team? They had 6 less wins then your stanley cup contending Leafs and thats before adding Hall, EricStaal and Cody Eakin.
