I get it that you are not a fan of Polak. However, I do not think he is the d problem. Does NO ONE else see how often Gardiner bobbles the fu@#¥ puck!!?? Watch the next time he is on the other guys blue line and a pass (fast or slow dosen't seem to matter) comes back to him; it becomes bobbled resulting in a NOW rushed play often resulting in him 'emergency shooting' which 9 times outta 10 get's blocked by a defender and turns over, or just breaks the fung shway of the Leafs momentum building. This of course only pales in comparison to the puck getting by him and a break for the other team ensues. Also, Freddi if you look, is unsure to pass to him around their own net. Its a bobblefest!!
My Son and I like Jake. Nothing personal. It takes incredible skill to be in the NHL PERIOD!! I get that. But right now the Leafs should not have to be worrying about the general playing ability of one of their regular starters ffs!! Is his once in awhile smack ins worth the extra nail biting??
Carrick is another young guy cooommmminnnggg around (say that with some reluctance.) Not a terrible dman. But Carrick and Gardner pared together…….DISASTER!! Seems like the vast majority of goals that go in are on these guy's watch.
Imo, go with Reilly, Dermott (yes those two games impressed the crap outta me; a fiery young hungry player go with it Leafs) Zaitzev, Borgman, Hainsey and whomever we could get for Gardiner and maybe toss Bozak in the mix. (Like Bozak, but he is not fitting the Leaf demographic). Anyway…😊

I watched the whole thing. I think you could literally put all the Leafs into a randomizer, pluck out some names and just talk about them. Maybe make 10 minute videos and just skip the doubles. shrug Entertaining enough. Cheers!

We all know that award goes to Iceburgh the Penguin, or the Penguins original Mascot, Penguin Pete an actual penguin they used to trot out onto the ice in miniature skates for a brief period (before he died of pneumonia because he was a Madagascar penguin) in 68.
