Our team had no offesive teeth! Realistically kings scored 1 nice clean goal. First goal they got a nice bounce, but they had us defending all night and shooting from the outside the rest of the night. They are definitely a good team. If mcd or dri was playing it may have been different. Poor Pickard faces the highest quality chances by far. If there was more offense from the oil pics play would have kept it tight. These players really need to grab the opportunity by the balls and turn up their play while the big dogs are out. Show something!

Holy, other than the end of the first, what did they have. Watch LA come at them, finally get the puck then dump it and watch them come at them some more. We don’t have anyone setting up plays, it’s like they just shot and chase, I didn’t see any forechecking, that’s when they play best and generate chances.
If this is our game then we’ll have to worry about Tee shots instead of point shots.
Still should have Bouchard sit a couple shifts at least, that one goal was his lazy play not aware of his surroundings, they called it back but my god it’s just glaring at times.

10:40 SECOND PERIOD – Emmerson line defense completely just skating around not where their supposed to be and provided 0 challenge to incoming kings entire line . goal against
ALL IN ALL COMPLETE DEFENSE LINES COLLAPSE OF EFFORT AND POSITION , FAILURE TO STOP KINGS AT BLUE LINE ALLOWING , KINGS TO SWARM THE NET.

Honestly the team played very well against a good Kings team mostly healthy. Picks kept the team in the game but really need the depth guys to pickup more. Onto Anaheim!!

Chris you have enough defence so why not let Bouchard watch how the game is supposed to be played. My GOD, I can't believe some of you guys think he's great. Each time there is a goal against I watch to see if Bouchard is on and that explains why. He hasn't thought of the out come of his play.

They (Kings) check very well in 5 man units 😂 maybe our oilers can learn from these lessons and start checking in 5 man units. Oilers have been very inconsistent defensively all year, need to be better to play against the other play off teams they are matched against like the kings, avalanche, stars, jets, golden nights and any central division teams.
So whats the Plan for Round #1 ? Just overplay the 2-Kings Connor/Leon again? We gotta be better.
This oilers team is a shell of itself. They have no guts. I do not like the way they played. They looked like they were dead or asleep. You can’t play this way if you want to excel in the post season. I hope I am wrong but even if McDavid, Drais and Ekholm return – I don’t think they get out of the 1st round the way they are playing.

Has the knob ever coached in the NHL before cause hes pretty crappy at how he runs things.
Watch every single other team in the NHL, when our forwards are heading to THEIR net, the D work tandem, sticking together and physically close to the forwards, and force pressure that makes it difficult to enter. Then you watch our D when they advance on us, and we are outstretched and swinging sticks wildly while spreading further and further apart and matching their pace backwards. Nuff said.
