Adam is 100% right. Ovi will be the top regular season goal scorer any day now. But he will not be the best over all goal score until he passes Gretzkys total career goals.
Steve is mad at Sweeney for trading Ullmark to Ottawa. But it was Buffalo who didn't re-sign him. Also, kudos for him saying Lego and not Legos!
I really hate the "This guy is the best" when it comes to Bobby Orr. Its a different position. Orr is the best D to ever play.

Steve’s logic that because fights are allowed that you need to give leeway for Chatfield to slam a guy to the ice with no helmet is moronic. What a leap. It was dangerous as hell and there’s a reason that most fighters stick to a template of unwritten rules to avoid really bad injuries

I know the shootout gets a lot of flack, and I understand why, but I’ll say this about it. Growing up in Vegas we had an ECHL team called the wranglers that my dad had season tickets to. I was more of a baseball fan but I went to those games in the hope of seeing two things: a fight and a shootout. Those shootouts got me more excited about hockey games than most other aspects of the game. I think for us life time hockey fans we want to see the games end in a different way, but for young fans and new fans I do think the shootout is exciting to watch, and I do think that is worth considering when we constantly talk about growing the game.
Lemieux was better than Gretzky.
I'm pretty sure Adam's tune of including playoff goals in the total goal count will change when it is Auston Matthews trying to chase down Ovi whilst not being able to get past the 1st round of the playoffs every year.
Also – Jesse almost called it. It wasn't the record breaking goal, but Ovi tied Gretzky from his office on the power play! Good call.
Adam, the 2012 Kings were 8th in the west. 194 goals scored. Went 16-4 in the playoffs

PERSONAL OPINION – Go to a system of 3 points for a regulation win, 2 points for an overtime or shootout win and 0 points for a regulation, overtime or shootout loss and you’ll see the teams always play for the win. Teams will go all out to win in every scenario and not sit back content to play for a point.
As a canes fan, Adam is right but Steve has a fair point about the way the NHL views discipline for dangerous stuff
i like fights and will accept that occasionally a guy will get KTFO’d

Listen Steve….the truth has finally come out, and we can read though you like a wineglass. And it's ok buddy. You don't agree with fighting in hockey, but you are currently one of the faces of hockey in Canada and don't want your reputation ruined.
It's all good, we all still love you and the Channel, just stop walking on egg shells!
It's always goofy to me that whenever you look at Gretzky's records and remove all his goals then he is still the all time points leader.
