Bedard's selling point was that he was supposed to be an explosive offensive player. When you look at the elite goal scorers in NHL history. Bedard hasn't shown anything to put him in that class. The bigger issue is. If Bedard is not scoring, he doesn't bring anything to the table. He's been bad in all areas of the game. There are no silver linings.
This rebuild is more like the Edmonton rebuild in the early 2010s they got RNH first. For them it took longer because they completely neglected getting good defensemen, but he was their first piece and then came the rest after.
To all of those that have clearly given up on Bedard ALREADY.. go look at Nathan MacKinnons stats in his first 4 seasons.. you’ll be surprised how underwhelming they are. Give the kid time to develop, he’s going to be just fine.
Bedard is a hot dog who refuses to pass the puck instead of passing the puck. He is easily moved off the puck and can’t win a crucial face off! Get rid of him!
With the high draft pick this summer the Blackhawks HAVE TO make the playoffs next year. I don;t care of they get swept round 1 and outscored 18-5, they have to make the playoffs.

These guys are hacks and obviously don’t know what they’re watching. Watch the games and ask yourself what impact Bedard has on the game with or without the puck. Defensively he’s mediocre at best and a liability at worst. Does he need more time to develop? Yes but if you think he’s going to be anywhere close to MacKinnon, Crosby, McDavid, or any other elite center, you’re mistaken.
Just so disappointed in this season. Was expecting them to at least get to 70 points. They need to make huge strides next season. Bedard has not been good this season. He has to bounce back.
Bedard and Nazar are just now finally playing with Knight Korch, Levs, Moore, Rinzel together. You still got guys like Lardis Kansternov Boisvert still waiting it’s gonna be different but at least Bedard gets to grow with these guys together all we need is MISA and we will be good 💯
Connor Bedard's "historical numbers" feel more like empty calories. This kid is going to need a ton of help, and I'm wondering of Davidson is capable of getting him the help he needs. The bargain basement shopping for over the hill veterans like Pat Maroon and Alec Martinez isn't going to work next offseason. I hate to say this, but I'm starting to believe the best thing for Bedard to do is bail after his rookie contract is up. Unless this team is ready to spend some serious money for some real help, they're going to stay stuck on the hampster wheel, and ruin Bedards' career in the process. The first thing to do is hire an experienced, respected, established NHL coach with a winning pedigree. No serious player who wants to win is going to come play for Anders Sorensen.
Bedard is tiny, can't skate and constantly passes to the other team. Wish we lost that lottery!!!!!!!

I’m not gonna say bedard is a bust by any means. But he is no where near as advertised. Visibly slow skater, who is really under sized. Hell be a great goal scorer, but I’m not sure about about being a star that’ll carry a cup winning team…

I'm really excited for the future of Frank Nazar. Overall the Blackhawks core players will only get better as they get more reps together, get their man strength, and more experience. GO HAWKS!

But if the organisation dosent get the right players around him soon ( next 1- 2 years ), he's going to want out in hopes of some success at some point.

It feels like we need to get the right coach and also a couple good free agents to start developing that winning culture. Not saying we have to win it all in the next year but this team needs guys that have been there and know what it takes. Bedard would flourish with that. Not that he isn't already

Context, Bedard is a 19 year old who has put up 60 points playing with Donato and Mikheyev plus so many other 3rd liners. Let's be real here, Bedard is still an almost lock to be a superstar and still has a fair shot at being the generational talent he was hyped to be.
This team is far from being a winning team. As long as Davidson keeps trading veterans for draft picks they’ll be drafting in the top three every year.
The team is still bottom 3 in the league. If the rebuild is over, then the team's gonna stink.
