a true leader would have put this team on his back the past month – not went 9 games without a single goal. when the "captain" falls apart during tough times, how can we expect anyone else to give their all? strip him of the C and start a proper rebuild

Would be great to get a Victor Hedman to mentor Sandin-Pellikka next year. That would be a great D line. Especially because he's a left handed shot opposed to Axel being right handed. And their style of play compliment each other. And the extra leadership and commraderie with the Swedish players to boost morale.
