  1. Never forget that Craig Button said the Habs wouldn't win a single game against the Leafs in 21' playoffs.

  2. Great 8 vs " DemiGod " ?
One picking up speed and the other slowing down….Eller wants redemption but will Laine keep up the surprisingly recent pace moving the puck and engaging instead of standing in the circle waiting for a one timer ? Seems Suzuki doesn't want to get outshined by Demidov and it has created a small friendly rivalry among the team. The ingredients are there to beat the Capitals , and I give the edge to Montreal when it comes to goal tending.
I say Habs in 6 games…Ovechkin is home sick and drained getting the scoring title.

  3. Doesn't matter. The fact that they made the playoffs is an accomplishment to be commended.

  4. The Habs rank 17th in the league and were only a few points away from being out of the top 20. Let's not get too excited.

  5. Playing with pressure that you should win (wash) vs the underdog without pressure (Habs) will be a big factor

  6. As a Habs fan I'd say we might win 2 games. Too many weak spots yet. Monty can be great or so so. Matheson will continue to screw up although he was'nt bad last night. I wish Marty would get over his hatred of Arber because the playoffs are usually rough and we don't need Hudson or Caufield getting drilled. Arber keeps the liberties taken by other teams lower. But overall I wanted to see progress this season and they have done that. So enjoy a deserved taste of playoff hockey boys ! GHG

  7. Habs have less pressure going in, Caps unless they get Thompson back will be vulnerable in nets.

I think we can pull off an upset, if Arber plays 😊

  8. Everyone talks about the caps playoff experience but some of the players on the Habs have been to a final and even one of them one a cup so experience there too!

  9. Hopfully all ambition has left the Caps after Ovi's Chase. not a habs fan, but still cheering for them and Ott in the east

  10. They didn't just upset them. Came back from down 3-1. The Halak show. Legendary.

  11. All depends on the version the HABS will show up:

    – The version at the very end of the year where they couldn't win a game they should have won to clinch playoffs = Washington in 4 or 5
    – The version right after Christmas and right after the 4 nations tournament = Habs in 7

I don't believe Habs will put it off, despite being a fan.

  12. Montreal showed a lot of heart in the last game of the season needing at least a point to make it and they did. Montreal is very steaky though hot and cold constantly and Washington is just to much of a power house. I say Caps in 5 but a couple of the Washington wins will only be by a goal.

  13. Habs are on a roll. They are playing some good hockey. Could be a dark horse in playoffs. Young and fast.

  14. Habs we’re a little smoke and mirrors this season and that won’t last in the playoffs but next 5 years they will be much tougher to play against. Still need a little more grit and size.

  15. Ok Button is the least insightful analyst in hockey…never really says anything original but somehow still on air.

  16. As Habs fan, I am not all under any illusion that we have a chance in this series. As a matter of fact it's likely going to be WAS in 4. There is no pressure here. We are playing with house money. If we win one I'll celebrate the W like we just won the Stanley Cup. That being said, let me warn the Washington Capitals – don't sleep on a young team with nothing to lose.

  17. Montreal is a team and playoffs are a team sport…Everytime Montreal gets in as 8th seed, they surprise.
