Going by the highlights, NJ had 5 seconds in the offensive zone and Carolina had about 365 hours in the Devils zone. Saw this coming, the Devils are so inconsistent, have been all year. They'll beat teams like Florida and then get their asses handed to them by teams like San Jose. So frustrating.

Both Hughes brother injured is a big problem for New Jersey now. Even if he recovers that shoulder injury, I played hockey for 22 years… a shoulder injury recovering means less velocity on your shot, less ability to dangle and turn over your wrists … less ability to aim your shot or have strong grip strength.
Any injury during a playoff series, is a big deal if you’re a top player on a team.
