These reporters don't understand the game and therefore ask irrelevant and annoying questions. This team has 8 new players from Last seasons team. They are not the same team especially in goal and defense. Plus our core players are older and more mature. But the most important new guy is the leader and coach of the team. Nice start but it is one game. Id rather win it , than lose it as you do not want to be chasing a series, but last year is irrelevant.

Rielly has to stop flipping the puck into the goalie's breadbasket from the point time and time again and stopping offensive opportunities! He did get fortunate on this game on a deflection but that was one of the first times all year.

Marner was fantastic tonight where’s all the marner haters ? The big boys were great , our d was solid ( for most part ) and Stolarz was awesome . Laughton was fantastic and the 4th line was buzzing . Robertson and Mcmann were good too . Go leafs go!!!

Did Mathews intentionally crash into the boards ( with his bad back and all ) to SELL a penatly ?> highly unlikely .He is right about one thing -5 on 5 the SEns matched up OK with the LEafs and Tkachuk was crashing an hitting every Leaf in sight .If the Sens can stay out of the box then this will be a very very close serirs .Besides we have seen over the past 9 years the Leafs dont have a problem winning 1 .2 or 3 games in a series . THe problem is they cant win the 4th
Mitch is so humble and whoever thinks leafs shouldn’t sign him win or lose this playoffs is absurd. Sign this man at all costs . He’s always been the scapegoat for leafs playoff failures , but he’s the last guy that we should get rid of . He will be a huge reason to our playoff success this year. Go leafs go!!!!

It is hilarious how Utah Hockey Club is copying my team franchise I have been using for last couple years.
They may be calling their team Outlaws and using the same logo I use and same blue/white colors.
They should throw me a tip for helping to name their team lol.
It is too much of a coincidence they are using same name / logo and colors I have been using since before Utah even had a team.
Ottawa was playing very dirty this first game.
I watched it all very closely.
Every chance they got they were bashing the Leafs players in the back & kidney & liver with their sticks.
The Leafs players will start to get very sore from that in their cores.
I think it is Ottawa's strategy.
The referees need to start watching those dirty hits and penalizing the Sens for it.
After a couple games of that the Leafs players will not be able to move and will be in a lot of pain.
It is fkn dirty.
I noticed the whole game the Sens were purposely targeting the big names on the Leafs too with bad intentions.
I understand its playoffs and there will be more hits and more grind but it is fkn dirty to try to injure the players like that.
