Foligno needs a spot on the coaching staff when he’s done playing.
Imagine if Reichel had the drive, heart and ferocity of players like Ridley Grieg (Ottawa) or former Hawk Brandon Hagel. He skates faster and better than either of those guys, he’s a good puck handler, but what he’s missing, can’t be taught.
Feels like the Hawks have been a different team since the Seth Jones trade. Obtaining Spencer Knight (and 2026 R1 pick) was huge and addition by subtraction with trading Jones. Thrilled that Frank Nazar has really played well to finish the season. Where I'm surprised is with Artyom Levshunov and Sam Rinzel. Thought they'd get their cup of coffee in the NHL and both go back to Rockford. Now, feels like they ought to both be in Chicago to start the season next year. Though they still have a lot to learn, both have been encouraging. Feeling really good about the young D prospects, as a whole. Less so on the forwards, minus Bedard and Nazar. But, Oliver Moore had a two point game and Ryan Greene started to look comfortable and both have good speed. Hope Nick Lardis knee injury isn't too serious. If we get Michael Misa, I've heard he wants to go to Boston U. I suspect he'd sign with the Hawks, after the Frozen Four. Would like to see another forward prospect step up in training camp, but time will tell. Let's go Kyle from Chicago, let's see if we can give the team a free agency boost. Looking forward to next year, already. Not likely a playoff team, but much more palatable to watch!!

Trade dicky he has no belive in the team and he cant score .. let the young guns play enough of old and slow vets its not working
It's more than likely that Connor Bedard and the rest of that young core the Hawks have will be seasoned veterans by the time the Blackhawks get back into the playoffs. The Western Conference is stacked with teams with a winning culture, something the Blackhawks lost a few years ago. Winnipeg, St. Louis, Colorado, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Minnesota and Edmonton aren't falling off anytime soon, followed closely by teams like Calgary, and even Utah and Seattle. So where does that leave the Blackhawks? On the outside looking in for maybe the next 5 years or more. Unless they're ready to spend a massive amount of money on high quality players and get a veteran, respected coach to lead them, the Hawks are going to continue to be bottom feeders for the forseeable future.
Dickinson sounded like he’s a player that is used to winning. He isn’t. Dallas and Vancouver both moved on from him. I’d trade him in the summer. He doesn’t seem bought in.
This might sound simplistic, since fighting isn’t what it used to be, but the threat is definitely still important to protect young guys. How do we replace Pat Maroon?
