  1. I'm not beating down Husso, but after a nice streak, why not stick with Talbot? Detroit doesn't ride one goalie for multiple games like many of the other competitive teams do.

  2. After a coaching change, roster shakeups, injecting youth, a 7 game and now a 5 game winning streak, who’s saying Yzerman needs to be fired?! Have patience! His drafts alone will save this franchise, because CLEARLY they’re being developed the right way and drafting well. I’m excited to see what happens in the future! LGRW!!!! The YZER-plan baby!!! Never doubted you Captain!

  3. Stevie-Y said from day one it's going to be a long arduous process and he's not putting a timeframe on the process (although I'm pretty sure he has one in his head). He's restocking the draft pantry after Holland traded away all the good picks, issued very stupid contacts to undeserving players and made draft choices that can still be felt today. Not saying ALL the choices were awful, but around 70% were. Yzerman had very little to work with and had done a great job pulling this team out of the dumpster it was in. Lalonde did improve the team but he clearly wasn't the "next phase" guy. I'm floored McClellan and Yawney have this team in the playoffs. Their time is coming. You can see flashes of it. I hope this stops all the "Fire Yzerman" commentary.

  4. So many yzerbots in here 😂 we’re on what? Year 6? And his expectations don’t yet exceed wildcard? That’s too long.

  5. Have patience with Steve, he is a class act as we all know. If your a real red wings fan you will remember how long it took for the dead wings of the late 70's and early 80's. Steve was injected into our rooster and the rest is history. He will bring us a cup. But the playoffs is the short term. Let's Go Red wings.

  6. A win against Tampa today would be absolutely massive. Going into the break with an 8 game win streak and third in the division.

  7. I swear Red Wings fans can be so dumb sometimes. Do
Some of you not realize what Ken Holland left this man to work with? It's way deeper, then what's on the surface.

  8. Love him. My favourite player ever. It just was a different game back then. More war- ish and physical. It’s almost like there’s more skill in todays game but more heart and will was needed to win back then

  9. The day he stepped out on the ice as a Detroit Red Wing the franchise was saved. Steve is one year older than me I played several years growing up and Steve was drafted the day after my birthday and if he was reading this he could do the calendar and see he won his first cup on my birthday The best present I ever got

  10. Yzerman will get the Wings another cup eventually. It's only a matter of time. The man is the smartest man in hockey.

  11. It'll never happen. Yzerman is a major diappointment. No courage to make the bold steps to create a winning team.

  12. FIRE THIS MAN, 6 years of garbage. time to move on, IDGAF that he was a good player in the 90s, this Red Wings team is worse than the Dead Wings of the 80s

  13. A new six-game skid, just like last season, just like the season before, 6 losses, 7 losses, all piling up at the end of the year, it's a pattern and needs to be addressed.

  14. He says shit like this whilst having the 2nd worst PK in NHL history (not joking look it up) the 3rd worst 5v5 offense in the league, and one of the worst goaltending tandems in the league, then proceeds to do nothing at the deadline 2 years in a row. Markstrom and Ulmark were ripe for the taking and he never even put offers out for either of them lmao. He's banking wayyyy too hard on his prospects to pan out and not trying to improve through FA or trades, and it's not working out thus far.

  15. He has pretty low expectations for someone who hasn’t had a playoff team in eight years.Detroit fans are pretty much fed up with his handling of the team.Don’t get me wrong, he brought some joy in hockey town as a player but as a GM that legacy is all but wore out.

  16. Yet another year of no playoffs, and we regressed nonetheless. Sorry to all the Yzerman fanboys, but holy hell, how much longer until his seat at least gets warm? Like its been 6 years, no playoffs and marginal improvement. the "Holland left him with empty cupboards" excuse isn't really valid anymore. This is Yzerman's team, and frankly I'm not sure he's the right guy to get us over the playoff hump….

  17. Give this man some space.. stop stressing him have faith impacient ones. Not many will put in to the red wings like he will and no one can bring more. Thanks Mr Y
